Discovered they were listed as expired - I had to "unhide" them.
First time I've had that happen.
I couldn't find mine on my Android at all. (It was showing as Friday's ticket.) The ticket taker let me in without it, as the match was already starting.

Hambly with third challenge. Hambly wins again. Officials not doing so well.
Harvey looks so good hitting from the left side.
I haven't looked at WF roster heights. It looks like Stanford middles too tall for some of WF front row players.
Set 2: Stanford wins 25-17.

After two, Kurt, Francis, Harvey hitting over 0.600. Andrew, Miner at .500, Rubin .412. Gaudy niumbers.

Miner on another extended serving run. WF coaching staff looks deflated.

I don't think I've ever seen a server replaced after making an ace!

Harvey with a monster hit from the left side.
Set 3: Stanford wins 25-12. WF players having a contest to see who could rack up the most hitting errors.
Charity McDowell two kills hitting .500%. Nice.

And six consecutive points. Kami had 11 straight Friday. Hambly trying to spread the joy.
Stanford hit .468 for the match, Wake .104. Wake also had 20 hitting errors. And in set 3 theit hit % was -0.086.

Very easy match against one of the bottom teams in the ACC. But I love that we only had 2 hitting errors on 77 attempts. We've been missing too many kills lately, and the only players consistently able to smash it down has been Francis and Rubin. Today Harvey and Kurt did more of that.
Great to see Yu get some time setting so she'll be ready for next year. Had to enjoy her kill. Also nice to McDowell get some playing time and do well. Hope to see Blyashov next week after another week of practice.
The ACCN TV showing of our matches so far has been poor. From the video side, they rarely show replays and never show the replays of challenges. I also can't understand why the score isn't on the screen. Form the audio side, at least she regularly gives you the score, but more interested in player nicknames (I like Slammin' Sammy, but not impresses with Kurt the Hurt) than what's going on in the match. Yes, the misuse and overuse of "tool" gets annoying. I would turn off the sound if the score was on the screen.

Anyone stay awake during high school geometry class? WF sweeps Cal. Stanford sweeps WF. Using the transitive property of inequality can any conclusions be deduced about what might happen if Stanford were to play Cal?

Regarding the ACC NX coverage -- I believe we've got an audio feed added to the scoreboard video feed (perhaps minus some ads, and most replays). This is just the old Stanford stream rebranded. For video to go up on the Maples scoreboard, why would you want a score added?
I did notice late in the match that a replay was shown, completely missing a service error on the next point.
I did catch the announcer once saying something that indicated she was actually at the court, rather than on the East Coast, but it is hard to see why she's bothering to be at the court. She clearly can't influence what is being shown; there are no interviews (even audio only); she doesn't even do a post-match summary.
The scoreboard doesn't show replays during chalienges as they don't want the crowd influencing the officials (or stoning them ;-).
Sigh....
To add to this, this feed (ACC NX, for 3 or 4 games that I've watched) has been hanging the Sling app on a Samsung TV. The screen goes black & audio stops. I can't go "Back" to get out of it. I seem to only have access to the Home menu, where I reload the Sling app. No issue watching the game through my laptop. I haven't noticed this problem on other feeds on Sling on that TV.
(Yes, TV firmware & app are up to date.)
------
I haven't paid much attention to VB officials. Are we getting a whole new set this season? Flown in from the East Coast, maybe? Newly hired on the West Coast, maybe?
Hambly twice challenged when the set wasn't in doubt. The only reason I can figure to do this is to highlight the quality of the officials.

Also, only one announcer. It's Jenna Becerra, former softball star. She has a ... lot to learn about volleyball.
Tip: use livestats on your mobile phone. Downside: the stats run a few plays ahead of the video. Upside: you can see the future!

I recognize the linesmen, and I think the up and down refs have also been familiar from past years.
Same shade of blue shirts as the last few years, but without the "Pac-12" logos. Some other logo or branding on the sleeve, I couldn't quite make out.
Everybody on the roster played today, except Duncan and Blyashov.

Cal beat NC State in straight sets, something Stanford couldn't manage.

Going a very respectable 2-2. With the 2 losses being Away. One home win and one win laughably listed as Neutral (in Milwaukee vs Wisconsin)

SMU plays #1 Pitt back to back:
SMU at Pitt today 4:00pm PT on ACCN.
Pitt at SMU Saturday 11:00am PT on ACCNX.
Stanford at SMU next Wednesday October 16.
SMU has a chance, albeit slight, to beat Pitt on its home court on Saturday.

Pitt looked really good. Babcock was dominant and she could slam it the ground everywhere, back row, front row and even her serve getting a service run of 8 or more points. Their other 6 rotation pin was impressive tonight too. They killed a very good SMU team. For the first two sets, SMU's hitters looked really powerful as well. Hopefully will sweep both matches and give Blyashov some time this week. Next week at SMU and then two days later at Pitt is one difficult road trip. It will be our last big test and our last difficult weekend till we end the regular season at Georgia Tech and in our home finale against Louisville hopefully still fighting for a #1 regional seed.
