#6 Michigan 39 - #21 Iowa 53 at the half on ESPN2. It was 25-20 at the half. Iowa won Q2 33-14, currently at 58% FG, with 8/16 for 3PT.
I watched something like 7 straight possessions where the ball didn't get to a player inside the 3pt line.
Later: Still in the 3rd, Caitlin Clark has 34 pts, 8/11 from 3.

Louisville routed Notre Dame in South Bend. At one point in 2nd quarter, the score was 41-3 in favor of the Cardinals. Most impressive half of basketball I’ve seen from any team this season.

Sounds like mbb yesterday. Saw Clark play a half earlier in season. She is amazing. Better 3 pt shot than Bueckers.

The So Carolina women's team, like us, "struggled" in their last game against unranked Ole Miss. It was 19-17 after the first quarter. They won the second quarter by 5, then lost the third quarter by 1. It was a 4 point game a couple minutes into the final quarter before they pulled away. And Ole Miss only shot 37% for the game.

And Louisville and Arizona in the same region for a potential rematch.
And Stanford and Texas in the same region for a potential rematch.

Yes, but it won’t actually end up that way.
Best we can say is that if we take care of business we will be the #1 seed in Spokane.

What are the odds that the powers-that-be find a way to put UConn in Bridgeport?

Fairly high, I'd guess.

Uconn doesn't have opportunities left to bump their resume/body of work with their conference being so weak. Let's hope the teams ahead of them per the latest release last night continue to win and do well in their conference tourneys. Iowa State, Michigan, LSU specifically. Maybe Texas (#10) could even leapfrog ahead of Uconn if they win the Big12 tourney.
I won't hold my breath but I'd love to see Uconn/SC in the same bracket.

As a UConn fan, if the committee chooses to disregard our injury problems during the year, that is something we will deal with. But for fairness sake, we will be a very dangerous team after Paige gets back to form, so do you really think it is fair that SC, the best team in the country according to most people, have to face UConn in their region? I find that really disrespectful to them and the body of work they have had during the season. Shades of last year when UConn and Baylor were together in the same region.

People here aren't really about being fair to UConn, or other dangerous opponents for that matter.

seems like there's always a really tough "unfair" match-up that happens. Question is where -- and somewhat unpredictable (like what will go wrong/be the inadvertent slip-up or task missed in planning and executing a large party/reception).

By all means, let's put out the red carpet for Yukon. They play a couple of tough OOC games, moonwalk through their conference so let's reward them by giving them an "easy" road to the FF. That seems fair. [sarcasm emoji]

I realize that as a as a former Nutmegger, I'm a bigger UConn fan than most anyone else in these parts, but: I think that criticism is spot on. I'd be SUPER pissed if UConn ended up a three seed in our region, and I'd be even more annoyed if I were a two seed. I honestly think by late March they will be better than anyone but Stanford and SCAR, and honestly, even then it'd be pretty close. I totally understand how the committee prioritizes body of work and that it's hard to fully account for injuries to player, but the way Fudd, Ducharme, and Juhasz have developed, with Bueckers back, they have legitimately about the best starting five in the country. Whether they can all play as a unit when the chips are down is TBD, but I know I would like them as far away from Stanford's part of the bracket as possible.
My two cents. I'm ready with your tomatoes, tar, and feathers. =)

Most teams were affected by Covid to some degree for a couple games. Stanford just was deep enough to win the games they were missing players due to Covid. UConn probably still loses to Oregon if they weren't missing a player due to Covid, but it would of been a close game.
I'd say there is a 50/50 chance that UConn winds up in Bridgeport as a two seed. Healthy, they are one of the best 4 teams in the country, but the best teams they can possibly play in the Big East tournament are ranked 36 and 42 according the Massey. They don't have strong opponents before Selection Sunday to justify moving up in the rankings, unless other higher ranking teams lose early in their conference tournaments.
I think the "fairest" solution would be to send Uconn to Wichita paired with the team that doesn't win the ACC tournament-- Louisville or NC State. I don't see how letting UConn have a path to the Final Four with two regional "home games" 80 miles from campus is "fair".
2015-2019 their regionals were either in Albany, NY or Bridgeport, CT.
