OK, another one.
The Padres clinched a spot in the playoffs (Go Pads!) with a game ending triple play against the Dodgers (again, Go Pads!). They are the first team to clinch a playoff spot with a game ending triple play, but they are the fourth team to turn a triple play on the same day that they clinched a post-season berth. Who were the other three?
Bonus question, this was the Padres first triple play since when?
Another bonus question, this was only the second triple play in the Big Leagues this year. Who had the other?

Orioles, Indians and Yankees...is my WAG. I don't know the answer, but Brooks Robinson participated in the most triple plays, both in the field and separately as a runner. So I'm playing the odds...

Another trivia question, in honor of Oakland A’s playing its last home game in the city of Oakland, leaving the city with zero major sports teams. This is quite the comedown from the 1970’s, when the city went five consecutive years with at least one major sport championship. What were the championship teams and years?

Nice job Skip. Hard to believe how we went from 5 straight championships across three sports to Oakland not having any major teams in a span of 50 years.
The Milwaukee Brewers were the third team to have a triple play on the day they clinched a berth in the postseason, in 2020.

More Oakland A's trivia. Dallas Braden famously threw a perfect game on Mother's Day - May 9, 2010. Oakland won 4-0 over the Tampa Bay Rays. Who grounded out to shortstop for the 27th and final out of the game? Hint - there is a Giants connection.

Apropos of nothing, also in the lineup for the A's that day was Rajai Davis, another SF Giants miss, this one by Sabean. He was basically the perfect fourth outfielder. We got him from the Pirates, he had an excellent year in 2007 for the Giants (.282/.363/.380/.743), he could run (17 SBs, 4 CS), didn't strike out much (25 K's in 162 plate appearances). Had a 14 year career, led the league in steals as a 35 year old, 415 SBs in career. First game with the Giants, stole a base and threw out a runner from CF. Filled in for Bonds and Dave Roberts when needed. Considerably better range than the typical CF and way better than any corner outfielder. Second among NL rookies in stolen bases to Chris Young, who had 3x as many ABs.
He had a slow start the next year, mainly as a pinch-hitter and Sabean waived him, A's picked him up. Year after that, he hit .305 in 390 ABs for the A's.
