Assume you mean raved -- yep, worth raving about.
As for going to travel games, I grew up in Corvallis, bled Beaver orange as a kid -- so I grab any excuse to get to the state of Oregon, where my heart really is. Unless there is some absolutely can't do it reason, we always go to Oregon for the WBB games there -- cheering for Stanford, of course. Haven't taken a lot of other road trips besides NCAA tournament games. Have gone to nearly all of those, not just regionals and final 4s, also including 1st rounds in Iowa / Kansas / Virginia. . . We did fly to Seattle one time to see the Card play Washington, was when Nygaard was on the team, also Wideman. That was another game in which an unexpected scorer went off. As I recall, Wideman scored 26 points or something like that. She couldn't miss. (Another player who is on my all-time favorites list)

I remember you raving about McPhee and I then told anybody who would listen that we had a great recruit coming in. She didn't disappoint.

ESPN 2022 Rankings
ESPN's early rankings of the 2022 WBB recruiting classes has 6 Pac-12 teams in the top 10: #1 Oregon, #2 UCLA, #3 Oregon State, #5 Stanford, #6 Arizona, and #10 Washington. UConn is #4.
The rankings are based on commitments to date. The choice of uncommitted players such as Kiki Rice could of course have a significant impact on the final rankings.
We are #5 on the basis of Betts (#1) and Lepolo (#70) and are waiting for decisions by Rice (#2) and Nivar (#20).

Crazy that more than half of the top-10 is made up of Pac-12 teams (and that half of the Pac-12 is in the top 10).

A day late, but maybe worth it.... I dug up these articles on that time:
Stanford Daily 3/11/98, reporting the injuries.
Harvard Crimson 3/12/98, before the game, on the injuries. I had forgotten that Folkl wasn't allowed to start but Nygaard's injury was going to give her the start.
Stanford Daily 3/30/98, talking about the game. If the article leaves you depressed, go to page 1B for MBB's run to the Final Four; WSwim's 8th national title; MSwim's national title.
It surprised me then that the #5 team got a #1 seed with Nygaard out (Folkl's injury came after the seedings IIRC).
It was clear at the time, that despite losing 40% of the offense, the real problem was that the team wasn't used to playing with neither of them on the court. If the team had a chance to practice for a week with the resulting line up, I'm sure they would have beaten Harvard and possibly won the next game.
I forgot, and BC didn't mention, the name of Stanford's high point leader of that game. When you give up trying to remember, check out the 3rd article above.

thanks for posting. looking at our line-up, i don't see dominance in a line-up of sophomore guards milena flores, christina batastini, and melody peterson plus regan freuen, heather owen and olympia scott (the players with over 20 minutes). reading your articles - thanks! - harvard doubled whichever of heather or olympia was near the basket and dared the rest of the team to beat them. milena was a fabulous passer, but to whom do you pass with that line-up and that defense? regan freuen, as it turns out.

When a WBB player is committed for fall 2023 does that mean she has been admitted or does she still have to get admitted?
