In a time of chimpanzees I was a monkey.
Never really liked the song (or Beck more generally), but yeah, we stunk it up today. Gotta hope Vandy beats Arizona; I don’t like the thought of facing Vandy in the losers bracket.
I’m not sure we have what it takes to emerge from the losers bracket, but I’m all for fighting like hell and staying alive as long as we can.

'Zona 6, Vandy 6, top of the 12th. Whomever we play, let's hope the've exhausted their pitching staff.

Vanderbilt beats Arizona in 12 innings, 7-6.

Vanderbilt's Jason Gonzalez walks off the Wildcats, so we play Arizona on Monday.
We hosted them for a three-game series earlier this season. The first and last of those three games went well. Of course, in between, on Saturday, this happened:

Very difficult to believe we can win four straight games against this caliber of competition.
Stranger things have happened, I suppose.

Now 5-0!
Jones started things off with a 2-run double, then Huff brought him around with an RBI single, and Bowser plated Huff and Robinson with a single of his own.
And a 2-run shot from Troy makes it 7-0!

7-0. Troy HR

8-0 in T4 after another Huff RBI single. Still just one out.
I like this game better so far.

Awesome.
Bummer to "waste" Williams on a blowout.

Uhhh, it's the fourth inning against a ridiculous offense, folks, and we're not even through the second Arizona trip through the lineup. Let's not call things a blowout just yet!
Now 10-2 as Arizona scores two on a double but leaves two stranded. Whew.

Arizona is the last team you want to face in this type of game, I say this nicely but if we don't figure it out in the fifth, AZ could very well make this a game, especially with Williams having maybe 2 + more innings. Arizonas offense is historically dominant.

One inning at a time baby. Scoreless 5th - Williams came out dealing pretty well after getting SCREAMED at by the pitching coach after the 4th.

Fair enough. I did not give enough due to Arizona's offense, which is admittedly potent.
I think Williams got in trouble in the fourth by walking two batters with a 10-run lead. The coach was urging him to throw strikes. He's doing that now, but it's cost him another run.
