Here's a list of all SF Giants who hit their first home run in Dodger Stadium. I've listed the first name of the Giants hitter, and the Dodger pitcher off of whom he hit his first home run. Yes, this is in honor of Tyler Fitzgerald, who hit his first home run at Dodger Stadium yesterday. Pitchers are in parentheses:
Jack _______ (Sandy Koufax)
Jim _______ (Andy Messersmith)
John ______ (Charlie Hough)
Mark ________ (Mike Morgan)
Armando ______ (Darren Dreifort)
Todd _______ (Kazuhisa Ishii)
Jason _______ (Scott Stewart)
Noah _______ (Derek Lowe)
Brandon _______ (Chad Billingsley
Tyler _________ (Ryan Yarbrough)
Your job is to fill in the last names. Hint: Three of the Giants named were pitchers.

Name the three MVP’s with the highest WAR’s (for that year, not the career). Hint: 1 is prior to WWI. 1 is between WWI and 2. The third post WW II. (Source- Baseball reference. No peaking!

Pre-WWI. I think there were comparatively few years with actually MVPs, but I believe a Chalmers automobile was given away in 1912 or 1914 for the MVP...and I want to say it was Ty Cobb.
Between WWI and WWII, Babe Ruth either 1921 or 1924...the year he had 119 extra base hits.
Post-WWII. Barry Bonds, year he had 73 home runs. Interestingly, he never had more than 49 in any other year in his career, nor did Hank Aaron.

Babe 1923. The others are incorrect.

Pre WWI -- How about a pitcher, maybe Christy Mathewson, Pete Alexander, or Walter Johnson?
Post WWII -- Mays, Mantle, A. Rodriguez, Trout?

Yes on pre WWI. Walter Johnson 1913. Highest WAR per Baseball Reference in history. 16.7. He was 36-7 with a 1.14 ERA. Also hit .261 with .433 Slg pct. Not a bad year.
Post WWII - None of the above. My hint - I was surprised, but shouldn’t have been.
Going back to Babe. Amazingly, ‘23 was his only MVP. Per Baseball Reference he was No 1 in WAR, which of course didn’t exist, 10 times.

On Saturday, two of this week’s AP ranked teams are playing on the same day (as ranked teams) for the first time since October 29, 1960. Who are they?
Note: They are not playing each other.

Perhaps Duke and Kansas? Unusual to see two "basketball schools" ranked at the same time.

You got it…
Regular visitors to the Final Four. Rather infrequent visitors to the Top 25.

The San Francisco 49ers have long been a passing success story. Eight of the most successful
75 76 quarterbacks in NFL history (based on career passing yardage) played all or a substantial part of their careers for the 49ers.
Five Four of the eight attended Bay Area universities. Who are they? Their positions in the Top
75 76 listed below. It was Top 75 when I originally drafted this, but Dak Prescott pulled ahead of #75, dropping him to 76th place:
#22
