Yes Prechtel instead presumably. The future is quite bright.

I would have guessed it was Amihere or Belibi since they have similar games. Both are off-the-charts athletic and play above the rim. They are perhaps the two best high school dunkers ever. Amihere is probably slightly more polished on the offensive end at this stage than Belibi. But they both have tons of potential which is why I don't feel so bad about missing out on Amihere.

List is updated with a couple of 2019 notes. No one new on the list.

Jones was admitted a month ago. That’s a brobdingnagian indicator. We will wait for her decision. Which could be in several months
Thus my Osborne comment

Bob, I usually love your typos, but your second sentence might be significant enough to warrant explanation.

Fill in the blank for me:
IF (big IF) Jones commits, the class of 2019 would be the highest rated class since...

Well recently:

2017: 8
2016: 7
Just a guess since Chiney's class. BosCard? 81?

According to ESPN (individualized rankings in parentheses):
2010: 4: Chiney Ogwumike (1), Sara James (18), Toni Kokenis (60)
2011 - 6: Amber Orrange (15), Taylor Greenfield (31), Alex Green (49), Bonnie Samuelson (61), Erica Payne (78), Jasmine Camp (83)
2012 - 23: Alyson Beebe (13), Tess Picknell (unranked)
2013 - 6: Erica McCall (11), Kailee Johnson (20), Karlie Samuelson (77), Briana Roberson (unranked), Lili Thompson (unranked)
2014 - 10: Taylor Rooks (18), Brittany McPhee (25), Kaylee Johnson (30)
2015 - unranked: Marta Sniezek (38), Shannon Coffee (unranked), Alexa Romano (unranked), Alanna Smith (unranked)
2016 - 9: Nadia Fingall (27), DiJonai Carrington (34), Anna Wilson (42), Mikaela Brewer (unranked)
2017 - 5: Kiana Williams (8), Maya Dodson (11), Estella Moschkau (41), Alyssa Jerome (unranked)
2018 - 10: Lexie Hull (14), Jenna Brown (18), Lacie Hull (unranked)
Currently, we have commits from Ashten Prechtel (25), Fran Belibi (33) and Hannah Jump (55). If we add Jones, who is currently #2, I think both her high ranking and all of our recruits being in the top-55 could put us in the Top 5-10, maybe higher. It is of course also dependent on how other teams turn out as well and if the players' rankings shift as well. Jump made a big, well, jump in the rankings if I'm not mistaken.

With Jones, I would say this is the best recruiting class in the past 20 years at least. My thinking is based on the fact that #1 ranked players (and Jones is #1 according to ProspectsNation) have such an oversized impact on team success (e.g. Candace Parker, Maya Moore, Breanna Stewart). The Chiney-lead class comes close because she definitely was that transformational type of player. However if you compare the high school resumes of Sara James and Toni Kokenis vs Belibi, Prechtel and Jump, I would say the latter win out. Neither James nor Kokenis made a USA basketball team and Belibi has done that twice. Plus Belibi is arguably the best athlete in her entire class and has a ton of upside. Prechtel came very close to making 2 different national teams and has a lot of upside as well. And Jump is likely one of the best shooters in her class.

Thanks Bos Card and 07.
I’ll go with our best class of
Jayne

JJ Hones
Mitch Harrison
If with Jones this class could be better

BostonCard - 07-12-2018
Conveniently both 2006 and 2018 (hopefully) are 4 woman classes.
Here's what I got for 2006:
Appel #3
Hones #32
Harrison #40
Murphy #49
mean 31; median 36
vs
Jones #2
Prechtel #25
Belibi #33
Jump #55
mean 29, median 29
By ranking Jones is higher than Appel, Prechtel higher than Hones, Belibi higher than Harrison. In fact, Belibi is just one spot from the second best recruit in 2006. Only Jump is lower ranked than Murphy.
Obviously, the uncertainty in ranking players is high, and if you were to analyze this rigorously, it is unlikely you'd find a meaningful difference. Still, best guess if we get Jones is that this would become the best class at least since I've followed Stanford basketball.

Great analysis other BC ?
Hope with get Jones but I fear a long wait.
An FYI Hones played on a HS team with all 5 starters getting a D1 scholarship. Two are currently Pac 12 coaches

These are great classes, no doubt, but I do wish there were comparable ranking standards/systems back in the 90s because I'd love to see how the class that arrived in 1994 - Olympia Scott, Naomi Mulitauaopele, Heather Owen, Vanessa Nygaard and Kristin Folkl - would've stacked up in comparison. These ladies were primarily front court players but dang, that was a pretty awesome class
