I was just thinking the same thing.  However, we have been running it pretty well.  I'd like to see Scarlett go over 100.

Good point.  I fear the turtle, as well.  Need to go down, eat up six minutes and take a two TD lead.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - martyup - 10-26-2019

That sack for a negative 23 yards was the play of the game.  Hugely.

My North Bay posse is watching from home - we need to win this by the time our power gets cut off, dagnabbit!   :-)

Any chance they cut the power at the stadium?  Generators?

I don't think campus will be affected by the PSPS.  I forget if the stadium has generators - don't believe so as it's not an integral part of the campus emergency plan, IIRC

RE: Arizona Game Thread - Austroturf - 10-26-2019

Three straight incompletions.  So no turtling, just bad offense.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - martyup - 10-26-2019

I'm not sure why we have abandoned the run.  Scarlett has been unstoppable.

That was definitely a big play.  Hope the defense can now step up after that disappointing 3 and out.

Just hit midnight where I am.  This game will keep me up late.

Booker with the forced fumble on UA's 2nd string QB.  And Tate throws an INT to Adebo now!

RE: Arizona Game Thread - martyup - 10-26-2019

I wonder how this game will be broken down by all of the Shaw detractors.  Certainly had a good offensive showing.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - Austroturf - 10-26-2019

Finally a takeaway.  Now make them pay.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - thunder_chik - 10-26-2019

Takeaway!  We needed that.

It will prove our inconsistency.

Weddington has had some nice catches....

RE: Arizona Game Thread - fullmetal - 10-26-2019

That looked like a TD...and instead we get a FG.  How did the TV replays look?

Robinson out of the game.

Robinson out of the game.

lex24 - lex24 - 10-26-2019

Haven’t shown one. Should have called a time out. First to give a chance for replay. Second they weren’t really set.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - Austroturf - 10-26-2019

That was a miserable goal-line sequence.  Geeeez.

Need the D to step up here.  Another takeaway?

RE: Arizona Game Thread - BostonCard - 10-26-2019

The clock mattered as much as the field goal.  Six minutes is an eternity this game, but still you figure Arizona will get 2 possessions (three max), so a two possession game is important.

Still, a two touchdown lead would have been better, considering.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - needle - 10-26-2019

Stanford should have taken a time out on that third-and-goal. By all rights, that pitch by Scarlett to Costello should have been a disaster.

RE: Arizona Game Thread - martyup - 10-26-2019

Scarlett has 98 yards.  I thought he broke the plane on that run.  Can't believe they didn't review that.
