Please tell me this is biased reporting and that this church is actually taking precautions.

That is such poor judgment by all involved. 
You can have outdoor services.
Plus, you know as soon as a single congregant tests positive, it will be all over MSM with assumption that the infection occurred at the service - which would be a decent, though not fool-proof, assumption.  So, they are ensured the negative press (and frankly, they'd deserve it).  Such indoor gatherings are inexcusable.
