I wonder how Garbers feels about that? DTR also has a year of eligibility remaining and AFAIK he hasn't said he is leaving. Could be a bit of a logjam. I wonder if Garbers is looking to follow his brother at this point, as he could be in a bit of a line.

Good question.  Probably not.

What is Oklahoma NIL? he doesn't have any deals through the university; he has a number of independent agreements with different companies. I assume that his deal with the local car dealership won't be renewed but that he'll continue to earn money from Cameo (autograph shows). His bigger issue (in terms of NIL) is that his profile has dimmed dramatically since losing the starting job. He would obviously be looking at vastly reduced income whether he had stayed in Norman or transferred.

Rattler got the NILs because he was the Oklahoma QB. Thus my wording

Yeah, Bruins look forward to '22. Must be nice.

Even had he stayed he was going to take a major hit next year since he was on the bench. If he starts at UCLA and gets back on the radar as an NFL prospect he can recoup to some extent. I was distinguishing from Texas and Miami and some others where players will automatically get NIL money from being on the roster; Oklahoma doesn't have a deal like that in place.

Rattler to UCLA is not official yet. He can't afford to transfer somewhere and not play so I assume he would first need some clarity on the QB situation, i.e. assurances that DTR is declaring for the draft.
