RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - Langdude - 12-21-2021

A bit sloppy this quarter; a couple of missed finishes (though they were certainly not uncontested), five turnovers, and some rather lackluster screens. Tired? Yes, I understand SC is really good.

Just as feared, we regressed. Our third quarters the last two games have been terrible

Do we think the opponent is just going to give up and let us get away with mistakes again?

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - PVTree - 12-21-2021

Worse than I thought. Down to a two point lead with more than a minute left. They've cut the lead by 12 with our turnovers.

Speaking of timeouts, why did SC call timeout?

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - TheWildJacko - 12-21-2021

I don’t even think we’re playing particularly poorly. SC is just very strong defensively and they’re finally playing like it.

Way too many turnovers. How you lose...but still time for Stanford's offense to get it together.

Henderson 7 steals

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - Griffins78 - 12-21-2021

Feels like we're tired and not playing with intensity.

Doubt it will be like that. Enjoy the moment! Jump with a 3 to start.

I withdraw my comment. 22-7 SC in the 3Q.

I think Belibi matches up better with the physicality and athleticism of SC.

Anna is getting pick pocketed by Henderson.

Doesn’t help that the zebras have decided that the rule for an SC foul is, “No bone visible, no foul.” Brink got smacked in the face while she had the ball. No call.

17 to's, 20 pts for SC

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - TonyLima - 12-21-2021

Regardless of the outcome, isn’t this really what you want to see between the top 2 teams? Now let’s nail down the W!

Now they’re doing makeup calls again.

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - Langdude - 12-21-2021

SC is really good on defense. But, still, I feel that many of our turnovers are because of carelessness or bad passing decisions. Also, it seems our superior height should not result in so many misses at the rim.

I guess their gameplan for this half was to deny the three. It's working.

Tuned in late - where’s Brink?

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. South Carolina Tues 4pm - Griffins78 - 12-21-2021

We've had what 3-4 fouls on screens while SC (Boston) does the same thing and never gets called.

Exactly.
