BobK, February 2, 2022 is National Signing Day. I said pin the 2022 FB recruiting page until *at least* Groundhog Day, so I would support having it pinned for a longer time!
I remember Erik Lorig the FB player, but not sure why you mention him. Maybe something to do with his Stanford recruitment? Or maybe an excuse for thread drift to talk about Analeis Lorig?

I wonder if Wright still has a spot with Fields coming.
I am still holding out hope that the two All-Ivy Harvard DL might show up in the fall. With these two + Fields + Kelly + Bailey maybe the defense can be adequate.

Apparently Charlie Mirer was offered by Michigan, but is choosing to be a PWO at Stanford.
I wonder why he was not more widely recruited. Seems to have the size, pedigree, and resume...

Thanks for the input. Now we have to average 45 points a game on offense.
Any insights on whether Josh Pakola will be a player again?

Well that's disappointing. He's fast and has some pop. I know some were critical that he went down when touched. I don't agree with that charge. If he's going to share carries with a backfield that will have trouble averaging 100 yds per game, I don't blame him. I do hope Jones regains his strength and also agree Filkins needs to play. .....and, of course, the OL needs to improve 200%. Last season they stunk up the house.

Leaves more carries for EJ Smith. I think he will be the main backup/alternate for Jones.
