Fortunately... We get the kickoff next.  Let's see what we can do with that!

We have 10 offensive plays to their 20.

Nice catch by Tree-man

And Wilson redeems himself.  BOOM!!

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - Langdude - 09-03-2022

Brycen GWOISH Tremayne. Two great catches.

(GWOISH = Greatest Walk-On in Stanford History.)

Barrett Miller at RG for the last series

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 09-03-2022

BOOM - BOOM - BOOM !
Michael Wilson was wide open on a simple toss over the middle.
Solid pass blocking.  Easy chip shot for McKee -- Large and in charge.
14-7 at 12:49 in Q2.  LIKE  Only used up 2min for that 75 yard drive.

I noticed that, too. My guess was that they are using this game as a way to prep the switch to RT, so I don't understand why they did that.

nice catch there by Bryce Farrell on the punt.

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - martyup - 09-03-2022

Damuni had a pick six handed to him on a silver platter.  He might not get a better chance than that in his entire college career.

McKee 13/14, with the one incompletion Wilson's early drop. That is sharp!

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - newguy - 09-03-2022

EJ Smith in the end zone for the 2nd time.

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - Phogge - 09-03-2022

Looks like about 6,500 in the stands.

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - ADPinWDC - 09-03-2022

Back-to-back scoring drives, up 21-7, with 6min remaining in first half.  That's more like it.
Another beer on that.

My less-than-one-half game-against-inferior-opponent over-reaction is that Tanner McKee is an excellent, excellent quarterback. Best player on the field by a long long shot. His decisions, footwork, and throws are all flawless so far.

Colgate's QB is just running for his life when he tries to pass

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - newguy - 09-03-2022

another fumble by Filkins

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - CompSci87 - 09-03-2022

Bizarre play, but after review Filkins was down before fumbling. So Wilson's recovery and 4 yard run doesn't count.

RE: Stanford vs Colgate Game Thread - CompSci87 - 09-03-2022

Smith getting tackled for a loss, grabs the tackler's face mask and gets penalized 15. That's one I haven't seen before.

Good call Comp. Announcers missed it. Kent is terrible.

You wouldn't know there was a football game at Stanford from the traffic and empty parking spots.  I bet Joji had more fans at his Thursday show at Frost Amphitheatre.

Now gives McKee potentially more yardage on the next TD pass...
