I was cooking dinner during halftime, so missed them talking about Brink. Here is an article that is on ESPN:

That's a good article, really worth reading. With one really special photo, of Cam with Step Curry long before either was known to anyone other than their families. Too bad you missed the TV bit. Rebecca Lobo was actually raving about Cam, tho she did mention Cam's foul problems, but saying that Cam is getting better on that front. She highlighted the fact that Cam is now a 3 point threat, showed her running the floor, way ahead of everyone else, also passing ability, and her blocking. It was well worth seeing. I recorded it so that I could show it to my husband (the other WBB fan in the house).

Geno is not coaching today as UConn plays undefeated Florida State. So far, UConn is handling Florida State fairly easily 10-4.

Arizona so far taking it to Baylor in a top 20 matchup. Up double figures in second quarter. Arizona is picking up full court a lot. Baylor doesn’t look good. Jana played about 2 minutes so far.
USC lost to Texas today.

Sorry this probably shouldn’t really go under this particular thread and although it’s far in advance;trying to decide on some travel plans. Has anyone traveled to Tucson to watch Stanford WBB play at McKale? What’s the best way to get tickets when it already looks like it’s practically a sellout? Does the Stanford ticket office have tickets available near the bench if player families don’t use? Considering traveling down for that game in February and wanted to hear other fan experiences. Thanks in advance.

Oregon State got annihilated by LSU at home, 55-87.
#12 LSU has been criticized for having a very soft schedule versus cupcake teams,
but if this game was any indication of how good they are, they are definitely
deserving of their current #12 ranking.

The game was in Hawaii. Yes, LSU looks good, but this is a seriously down year for Oregon State, I think. They already have 4 losses and none of their wins have been impressive--a net of 64. LSU has a net of 2--ahead of Stanford at 3, behind South Carolina. Yup, LSU is for real, more is the pity.
In reviewing the Pac 12, the computers give us some interesting rankings with NET.
3 Stanford
5 Utah (ahead of UConn at 6)
9 Oregon
25 UCLA
29 Arizona
39 Colorado
42 SC
53 WSU
64 Oregon State
79 California
115 Washington
122 Arizona State
I suspect that Arizona and UCLA will climb further. Utah is a very dangerous team, and it will be quite interesting to see how they fare in league play. They certainly dispatched Colorado.

No way LSU should be NET 2 ahead of Stanford, Ohio State and Indiana. A 32 point win against a middling Oregon State team does give it ONE meaningful win (on a neutral court) but its schedule so far is laughable compared to Stanford's and the undefeated B1G teams. If LSU finishes its SEC schedule undefeated then it will earn the #2 (or #1) NET but it hasn't yet proven anything other than it can beat cupcakes by 50 to 75 points.
Similarly I don't understand how 7-6 Tennessee gets a NET 22 and 7-4 Texas a NET 23 while UCLA, whose sole loss was by 9 at #1 South Carolina and defeated Tennessee by 17, has a NET 25.

For what it's worth, latest bracketology from ESPN. One very curious thing, has Stanford as a #1 seed but not the AQ. Has Utah as a #3 seed, but the AQ.

Whatever!! Anyway, onward to Creighton today, a game that I think will be a challenge.

Yes, I noticed this. Creme thinks Utah will beat us out for the Pac 12 championship, apparently. I confess I am also worried about Utah, but I think an objective observer would still think we were the favorites.
Given that Tara compared Creighton to Utah, perhaps tonight will give us an idea....

Oregon defeats 21 Arkansas, that just defeated Creighton, today, 85-78. Good for Oregon. It was Arkansas's first loss. Oregon is now 10-1, only having lost to North Carolina.
Oregon, UCLA, Utah looking like tough outs in the Pac 12.

Bracketology is Charlie Crème taking the data from this point in the season and applying the same information the committee would if today was Selection Sunday.
Utah is first in the PAC 12 because they have played 1 PAC 12 game and are undefeated, while we haven’t play any conference games yet.
UConn fans are concerned St. John’s is listed as their AQ and they are a 3 seed.
I haven’t checked Volnation to see if they have noticed Tennessee is currently listed in 1st four out.
At this point Bracketology is something fun to check to see where teams might get seeded, but relatively meaningless before mid-Feb.

bring it on Utah! Leading scorer Pili (former USC) is 6'2" and while our true bigs may not match her physicality (except Ashten), Fran at 6'1" is only an inch shorter but solid physically and better athletically -- I can see her sprinting down the court and matching her in rebounds.

Utah was tied at 11 with Weber State late in Q1. In the time it took me to board a plane they went up 34 17.
