Being excited about new hires is one thing but can we avoid celebrating the firing of assistant coaches who have invested countless hours into the program, most of whom have families to support? Unlike Shaw who made millions, those guys will be scrambling for their next pay check.

A good friend of mine was recently let go, his fourth time. In two of the three situations, he did much, MUCH better than his prior job, and the third was essentially a lateral move. I've been let go twice, both times I ended up in a MUCH better situation. If I were to be let go now, I know exactly what I'd do, and if one of my seven direct reports had to be let go (e.g., if my CEO forced my hand), I know exactly what I'd advise them.
Getting fired isn't the end of the world, and in many cases the door that opens leads to a better path than the door that closed.

In my business there is competition and there is referral. Sometimes from the same person. If the fired coaches haven’t built up a network of contacts then shame on them.

Everybody knows everybody, and there is lots of mentorship/"taking care of" others. If you aren't at least connected somewhat to other opportunities, it is on you. I can't imagine that, given the state of their record, all the assistants hadn't checked out landing sports. An elementary precaution.

I differentiate between saying that the fired assistants should have, if they were prudent, networking connections helping them find their next job and engaging in "the more of them fired the better" glee.

There was no glee in my statement. Shaw and his coaches were consistently failing the players and not getting the job done. IMnsHO the majority of them should have been replaced after the 2021 season. Shaw chose differently, and we all saw what happened as a result.
I believe very strongly that there needs to be a complete housecleaning, so the closer Coach Taylor gets to that the better I think it is for the program's future. I hope that they all land a job somewhere else.

While I do have sympathy for these coaches, many of them had exceptionally long tenures with the Stanford program. This is unusual in their profession.
In addition, Anderson and Pritchard have been at Stanford since the start of Harbaugh era and had the credibility and experience to work with Coach Shaw to make the changes he should have started making after the 2018/2019 season. Recruiting and on-field performance were already slipping. Anderson and Pritchard were the coordinators and yet they remained comfortable with the status quo.
My hope is Pritchard goes to the 49ers as an offensive analyst or QB coach. Kyle Shanahan would be great teacher for him. Lance Anderson was superlative early in his tenure at Stanford when a big part of his job was recruiting and a liason with admissions. If he was open to doing that again he might helpful to the new regime.

He should be out as a coach. I'm just pointing out he could be a real contributor in communicating with the administrative blob that is Stanford now.

If he still had that role after he became DC that is an administrative failure on Shaw. Anderson should have been focused on getting his defense better 24/7.

Andy Thompson is getting bumped up to head coach at Sac State. He was unlikely to be DC on TT's staff but may have had an opportunity to be LB coach if not for the promotion at Sac State.

I don't know if Lance Anderson is a bad coach, but I do believe Bernard Muir didn't demand better performance from Shaw, he in turn didn't demand more of any of his coaches, and that lack of accountability made everyone in the program, from Head Coach, to assistants, to S&C staff, down to the players, totally unaccountable for performance.
My guess is with a fire breathing dragon* of a Head Coach, Lance Anderson would have led better defenses at Stanford, because he once led some very good defenses at Stanford. Still, it's understandable that if Troy Taylor is basically going to hand the defense to someone to run without much oversight from him, he's gonna want a guy he trusts.
* To be clear "fire breathing dragon" doesn't need to be someone who screams and yells, just someone who demands performance and is unrelenting about it.
