For what it's worth - Mikaya Blakes most active social media account (her IG, where she's posted all her official visits) - the ONLY school/program she follows is Stanford Women's Basketball.
If I remember right, Betts also committed in January a few years back, so I assume some Stanford admissions decisions happen around this time. I have no inside information but I think our chances are as good as anyones.

My crystal ball has been malfunctioning the last couple recruiting cycles, so I won't try to predict. But obviously Stanford would love to have her services.

But Betts was a junior that January when she verballed, while Blakes is a senior. I actually can't think of a Stanford recruit who has waited past the early signing period before. Perhaps Bobk would know how the current process works, but in the past recruits from the US have typically heard from admissions by June after their junior years at the latest.

Admissions for athletes happen all year. No timetable. Some well I can think of two late February early March jr year
Some October Sr year.
Of course we don’t know when Blakes submitted her App. Maybe she needed more AP classes this past semester.

I’d be fairly surprised if it was Rutgers, Tennessee, or Wisconsin.
I think academics are pretty important to their family. She’s the type of guard Stanford could really use. Reminds me of Kiana Williams with her quickness and ability to score.

I think Vanderbilt makes sense. It's highly academic, good young coach/up and coming and lots of playing time! And by waiting til late January to commit, she can see they are having a very good season, at 17-3 and 4th in the SEC, so there's encouraging signs there. Plus, Nashville is a great spot.

I must say, though I am purely speculating, I shared an Instagram post (now deleted) Blakes had shared in December of pics from a Stanford visit. The thing is, the pics seemed like they could be from an "old" visit to the Farm, rather than current development. I almost wondered if it was merely content to keep fans/followers engaged in her recruitment.
Anyway, NIL collectives (which I honestly don't have a good understanding of) appear to be having a big impact on WCBB recruiting. I make the distinction between NIL collectives and the general NIL "marketplace" where Cameron Brink, Haley Jones, etc. seemed to have fared very well.
But I would guess that the NIL collectives is how some WCBB programs like Clemson and Florida making moves in WCBB recruiting.
I know Bobk has mentioned Stanford is "behind" when it comes to integrating NIL into the Stanford student-athlete's experience (i.e. incentive), though elsewhere I've gleaned that there are things in the works for Stanford that will be much stricter than what is happening at other universities.
Though I understand and respect that Stanford seems to be taking more time in phasing in NIL, I do hope they can catch up soon enough so that Tara can better compete in the new recruiting landscape sooner than later.
Curious if those who are more knowledgeable about NIL can educate me on this topic.

Lifetime Cardinal the Stanford NiL program has seriously upped their incoming contributions. WBB is part of this.
Also keep in mind new president new provost and three Stanford University board members who are former Stanford athletes

I've never heard a concrete $ amount for WBB. We know what the men are getting. But it is a positive that Lifetime Cardinal is supporting WBB. I would guess it has to be competitive.

I think past tense on mbb. It’s a bit different now that’s its lifetime Cardinal. Hopefully those donors to mbb are part of lifetine Cardinal now.

I wasn’t aware of her prior, but after watching some of her clips and reading a bit, I think she will be a great addition! Talk and lanky, could add some muscle, but super quick and able to move great for her size. Dad is a coach and has emphasized all aspects of the game despite her height. In addition to moving well, can dribble and shoots the 3 well. I think with some time against higher level players, she could really be great. Both parents played at Northwestern and has a twin (male) that also plays, dad coaches, and seems like a great family! Looking forward to seeing her in a Stanford uniform!

for her height which enables her to dribble penetrate.
