Don't let Daniels throw another INT. Run Ford and kick the FG if he doesn't get the first down.

Stanford leads in yardage 143-127.
At that pace, Stanford would have 572 yards for the game.
I feel as if we should be doing a lot better than we're doing, on coaching, offense and on defense. We've made some really bad mental and physical mistakes. If we can clean up the errors, we're a bowl-eligible team.

That post didn't age well.

Credit to Daniels and Ayomanor for the touchdown, but even that touchdown ball could have been picked if it was a hair more of a miss inside. That is like getting a green in regulation in golf by rolling the ball up on the green, instead of landing it in the air.

Time for a pick six before the half.

As much as I enjoyed that TD, it took a long time to unfold and Daniels laser-locked eyes on his WR. Yikes...

Stanford played a darn good half. Just got hurt by bad QB play.

Let’s not complain about a TD. And I don’t cate how it looks if I get it close to the pin. Which is an exceedingly rare event

I'll take a 10 point deficit at halftime. But for the QB mistakes, we'd be ahead in the game. We actually have a chance if we catch some lucky breaks in the second half.

This is a better football team than last year. Significantly. In fact, kudos to Coach Taylor. They just need better play at quarterback

FWIW we have outgained them at halftime.

Agreed. Despite the QB mistakes, Stanford is playing well against a top 20 team on the road. Very happy to see a competitive team out there.

TOTALLY AGREE. Actually worth watching.
Taylor is going long on this team by playing younger talent.
And his play-calling late last week won the game at Syracuse.

Well except QB, but maybe when Brown is healthy, we will start another young player.

To continue the golf analogy, playing QB, like with golf, is about missing in the right spots. No QB is going to throw a perfect ball every time, nor is even a professional golfer going to hit a perfect ball every time. But part of the job of the QB, or the golfer, is to know where to miss to avoid disaster.
Daniels doesn't miss in the right spots, hence having 2 picks and nearly a third.

Ayomanor got separation on a critical red zone conversion, and Daniels hit him.
Excellent execution at sub-2 minute drill again, as in Syracuse.
And our run game is keeping the Tigers honest.

I’ll toss in my hat of agreement too
Seems like OLine, DLine, run game are better
Passing game? Meh

It must be said that when we played Syracuse, the worst run defense in the ACC was Syracuse. The second worst was Clemson. I am sure TT recognized that and planned to run the ball a lot, both at Syracuse and now at Clemson. The really "good thing" is that the OL and backs are making it work. We are actually taking what should be there. That said, it is a big leap to expect this run offense will work as well against the "better" defenses in the ACC and that there are four more wins out there. However, their might be, which is much better than where we were last year.

This defensive performance has been really impressive. The two TD's allowed were both on short fields (34 yards and then 54 yards). Even when the defense has given up longer drives, they either forced a pick, or held the Tigers to FGs.

Defense (especially run D) showed up to play. Wright seems everywhere. Unfortunately, they’re picking on Manley a lot. Two tough weeks for him. Hopefully, he gets several “moments” in 2H.
