You can't bargain with them? In my experience cable systems will almost always give up if you're willing to drive a hard bargain.

Bargain hard.  Threaten to leave and switch.  Cable companies will do a lot to retain customers (kind of like credit card companies and banks).

But, wait, Uverse is carrying Pac-12 now?  I hadn't heard that...!

hearing what I wanted to hear?  It's not crystal clear whether the original UVerse post  that got me revved up was about the Longhorn Network or the Pac-12 Network.  With the way my luck has been running, prolly the Longhorn Network.

Sadly, I believe it was you hearing what you wanted to hear. This thread was 100% about the Longhorn network until you posted.

Re: Longhorn Network woes - fullmetal - 08-31-2012

But wait!  CompSci87's other thread hints as much!  Redrum, can you start posting about Stanford as national champions now?

Hmmm. Can I post about a Stanford as national champions? Can I.... - Redrum - 08-31-2012

... post about Stanford as national champions?

Dueling principles at odds here:  First: This thread is ALL about the Longhorn Network except for my dunderheadness.  Second:  Despite CompSci87's unsupported assertion on thread purity, ANYTIME is time to initiate Thread Drift.  What to do?  What to do?
Awwww. Let's let Jon Wilner decide.  He ranks Stanford's QB Position (starter and subs) as #11 out of a 12 team conference.
That just screams National Championship to me.

Re: Longhorn Network woes - CompSci87 - 08-31-2012

Hey, thread drift is fine with me. And under the principle that this board is all about Stanford, it's only natural that any positive news about anything posted here must be true for Stanford and the Pac-12 too.  ;D

You're a Taylor guy, huh?

Hmm.  Oh well.
