Argh. Gonna be tied.  I still like going for it on fourth.just a bad throw by hogan, who still has about 10 gimmes stored up.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - Rando - 11-17-2012

If you offered me 7-7 with 3 minutes left in the 1st half yesterday, I would've taken it.

Oregon is going to score. But we're going to score more.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-17-2012

HOGAN!

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-17-2012

We're running the zone read better than Oregon right now.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - Rando - 11-17-2012

Hogan's short passing game is just superb.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - Rando - 11-17-2012

WTF why would they show an update right then?

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-17-2012

DAMNIT!!!!

Hogan is skying these balls. Herbstreit seems to think it's the wet ball. POOP. That drive would've been clutch.

Autzen is officially in Hogan's head...

Not IMO. The ball slipped so it's not like it was lack of skill, IMO.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-17-2012

I dunno he was throwing quit a few balls high there, didn't all look like balls slipping. Let's hope he calms down during the halftime. Still in a great spot here.

Actually, I'm more concerned about a 3-4 easy-ish throws (like the 4th and 1, and a short one to Ertz) that he missed before that. He had been money on those up to now...

Is Hogan injured? Most plausible explanation for sudden case of inaccuracitis.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - Rando - 11-17-2012

Hogan's left hand is damaged. I saw some blood. Not that if effects throwing.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - CompSci87 - 11-17-2012

7-7 at halftime? No way I would have guessed that. I'll take it!

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - TRD - 11-17-2012

Oregon's defense is going to be tired in the 2H.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - Farm93 - 11-17-2012

Great to see Stanford could replicate the Luck era 1st half level of play.

Now it is time for the second half.  At some level a close game should favor Stanford since Stanford has been in a bunch of close games.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-17-2012

We've kept it close in the 1st half with Oregon before....

Let's see how we deal with their adjustments. I just hope we keep things loose on offense ourselves.

Also goddamnit I wish we had Hogan against ND.

Game going according to form so far - JohnR34231 - 11-17-2012

We play them tough in the first half.

Let's hope it doesn't go to form in the third quarter, where they seem to find another gear and sprint ahead.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - OutsiderFan - 11-17-2012

Stanford's offense has to be better.  The defense can't play much better than it is.

Pulling the string on that 4th and 1 was a gargantuan missed opportunity.

Re: Stanford - Oregon Game Thread - dabigv13 - 11-17-2012

What was DAT doing on that return? Seriously, terrible return.
