Julius Barnes was one of my favorite players of that era. He would jump so high on his jump shots. I swear, he was releasing the ball level with the rim on his shot. He had some great highlights.

Anyway, the turning point of that game was Nate James going up for a dunk and getting completely rejected by a Stanford guy who appeared out of nowhere. The announcers initially called it as a rejection by one of the Collins twins. And then on the replay, they were like, "Wait, that was LITTLE Julius Barnes!!!" Julius went on to lead us to a brobdingnagian come-from-a-ton-behind victory.
Ahh, Julius, I loved that guy.

Thanks for that video link, Good Grief. I remember that amazing comeback versus Duke at, of all things, the Pete Newell Challenge, but had forgotten Julius Barnes' role in it. I also recall reading the LA Times sports section the next day and seeing a photo of Tiger Woods (back when he was, you know, Tiger Woods) getting airborne in a leap of joy just after Jacobsen's banker fell through. Glory days indeed!

Tiger really got some lift on that jump:
