Sasaki grand slam now 12-2 Stanford in the 9th
Stanford wins 12-2. The shock stat: Stanford pitchers last 8 innings allowed 1 hit no runs

Stanford wins! And holds Louisville to 2 runs.
Here’s the grand slam…

And did the announcer really have to go there with a “Sasaki bomb”? Maybe it was unintentional, but it really sounded like a pun on “saki bomb”.

The announcers are … not neutral. We need to write them a letter:
“Dear professional announcers,
We know you hate us. Frankly, we don’t like being in this conference much either. But we’re stuck with each other, so let’s try to make it fun.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

That is of course incorrect because it should be “sake” and not “saki” but it has been happening since last year (also on this board). I don’t think there’s anything we can do about that. Just roll with it or ignore it. :)

Today at Louisville it’s declared illegal to slide. Worst call ever. Announcers for Louisville can’t believe it

Thanks, Bob. Beat me to it!
Except that wasn’t a bad call. It was horrible, terrible, and the chief of the crew should be fired.

A mighty, mighty blast from Moran, and some great pitching by Moore to close the thing out.
It was nervewracking, but a fun final frame to watch!

Louisville has consistently sported a hard-hitting lineup since they joined the ACC. I feared they would pound our pitching into paste and we would get swept. Winning this series is pleasantly surprising.

Bottom 9, 2 out Santa Clara 2 Stanford 1. Bates on first, JJM batting. Stay tuned.
Fly out to right. Sigh.

Here we go again. Third base umpire calls an invisible balk giving Miami their fourth run.
