1 more out. 30 pitches this inning!

Let's play TWO!
7pm PDT vs Texas State
ESPNU

RE: Stanford Baseball - Madera86 - 06-05-2022

Mathews is running on fumes.

Phew. That seems like one of the toughest 4-run wins I've ever seen.

RE: Stanford Baseball - BostonCard - 06-05-2022

uCSB gets men on second and third but no further. Matthews closes it out and Stanford gets a chance for payback against Texas State.

RE: Stanford Baseball - Sam Leopold - 06-05-2022

"The Mighty" Quinn Mathews finishes it and ships the Gauchos back to Goleta.  I'm guessing that we'll have to take on the Bobcats without his services tonight and tomorrow.

Credit and props to Santa Barbara for pushing us hard.

RE: Stanford Baseball - JJJ - 06-05-2022

on ESPNEWS to begin the game

RE: Stanford Baseball - chrisk - 06-05-2022

Uber is the starter.

Stanford is the home team.

Gonzalez hits another homer against us.

Graham at DH TONIGHT.
Hits 2 run HR.

RE: Stanford Baseball - DC 86 - 06-05-2022

I liked how Graham didn't just blast the HR to take the lead, but turned to the dugout afterword and fired up the entire bench, team is pumped up.

RE: Stanford Baseball - DC 86 - 06-05-2022

Carter Graham: 2 HR, 5 RBI. Stanford leading 5-2, bottom of the fourth.

RE: Stanford Baseball - Sam Leopold - 06-05-2022

And now he hits a 3 run HR.

Welcome back Carter Graham! Even I'm pumped!

Should have been a Gran Slam. That was ball four on Brock Jones.

Ok... They lost a run on the base runner out. It evens out there.

RE: Stanford Baseball - Softball Fan - 06-05-2022

Cardinal up 5-3 top of sixth.

RE: Stanford Baseball - DC 86 - 06-05-2022

Tommy Troy drops one in shallow right field, runner eventually scores on a two out single. 5-4 mid-6th inning.

RE: Stanford Baseball - BostonCard - 06-05-2022

This is not going to be an easy last three innings, is it?

RE: Stanford Baseball - DC 86 - 06-05-2022

All three outs in the top of the seventh were 6-3 groundouts with defense crucial; Crampton made really good picks on all three sharply hit grounders, and Barrera made great plays on two throws to salvage the out. Score still 5-4 going into the bottom of the seventh.

RE: Stanford Baseball - BostonCard - 06-05-2022

Bowser goes yard for a two run homer and three run cushion!

Can’t have too much insurance.

I think we should ride Pancer until someone gets on. Who's available in the pen?
