Re: Class of 2016 - PrinceLightfoot - 06-03-2015

No word on Rairdon visiting for the summer camp. I have a feeling an official visit will be needed to help sway him away from his Nebraska commitment and from the Midwest in general.

I live a few miles from his high school in Des Moines and do know that his OL coach, Dave Cochran, was the father of Stanford OL Jon Cochran(http://www.gostanford.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=30600&ATCLID=208440608). I am sure he has provided Rairdon some insight on his son's Stanford experience at least academically but am not sure he can provide any information of the football program under Shaw.

Re: Class of 2016 - TrumpCard - 06-04-2015

A couple of updates from Twitter:
Khalid Kareem is deciding in June.  I have not heard any report of a planned visit, so I am assuming Stanford is out.
Totally unsurprising, but Stanford did not make the top 10 for Damar Hamlin.
Also, a bit of promising news:

More on Andrew Pryts: http://www.scout.com/college/notre-dame/story/1544480-pryts-the-complete-package

"Pryts, who carries a 4.0 grade point average, is as successful off the field as he is on it and that’s saying something."

Holds over a dozen offers, and has strong Penn state ties, but still looking.

Geaux Cardinal!

Keith Simms is announcing his Top 10 list today

I figured he'd be announcing a top one list soon, oh well.

Re: Class of 2016 - SUBuddha - 06-05-2015

I had read he was announcing at 830, must be pm, need to teach people to use the 24hour clock it just makes more sense. I will check back at 2030.

Re: Class of 2016 - oman - 06-05-2015

Man, I'll be retired by 2030.

Man, I'll be dead by 2030.  (Just adding perspective.)

Fine 20:30 to be more accurate.  ::)

Re: Class of 2016 - Papa John - 06-05-2015

No announcement from Keith Simms yet? Maybe he meant August 30.

Re: Class of 2016 - socalstanfan1 - 06-06-2015

Maybe Simms is considering whether to just commit, much like his buddy Yarbrough who said he would delay his decision but then just came out and declared for Stanford. How's that for wishful thinking?

Winston's from the same school as the Scarlett brothers. Got a nice ranking -- top 250 in 247's composite rankings, with offers reportedly from SC, UCLA, Oregon, and Michigan.

Re: Class of 2016 - JohnR34231 - 06-07-2015

At the rate we are going, we could end up with more players from Oregon than the Ducks have.

Just like the Washington Stanford game basketball game a couple of decades ago when three of our starters were from Washington and four of Washington's starters were from California.

Re: Class of 2016 - TrumpCard - 06-08-2015

Here's a link to an interview that you will want to check out:
http://www.scout.com/college/football/recruiting/story/1553184-costello-shines-at-elite-11-semi-finals

Greg Biggins of Scout interviews KJ Costello.  At the end, he asks KJ who he thinks will come to Stanford because of him.  KJ appropriately shied away from taking credit, but did list a few guys who he thinks will come to Stanford.

Re: Class of 2016 - TrumpCard - 06-08-2015

After doing so well with big LBs like Murphy, it's interesting that the staff has been looking at much smaller guys at LB. I guess a reasonable response to spread offenses.

This latest kid is probably a MLB for us. And 6 foot 5 3-4 OLBs don't grow on trees.

Re: Class of 2016 - socalstanfan1 - 06-09-2015

Also, some of the DE recruits could end up in the Murphy-mold OLB (like Kaumatule)

Re: Class of 2016 - yvonne - 06-09-2015

Speaking of which, what's up with Connor Murphy? 247 lists him as warm on Stanford and as having an offer, but I haven't heard much about him.
