Still a football score? It's 18-10 with Stanford batting in the top of the ninth.
Barring a miracle comeback, this will be the third game in a row that Stanford was ahead in the bottom of the 6th and let it slip away. Brutal.
Unless we begin a very long winning streak starting on Wednesday vs U San Francisco, we're back to the extreme longshot of winning the ACC tournament in order to make the NCAA tournament.
Rintaro, thank you for making my day a little brighter! 18-13.
And so it ends. Score 13 runs and lose by 5. Although Stanford made a couple of errors, all 18 of ND's runs were earned.

If I read the box score correctly, Stanford scored three runs on bases loaded walks. Stanford 12 San Francisco 5.

Stanford is playing a 3-game home series vs NC State this weekend. Stanford head a big rally in the bottom of the 8th, which began with a 3-2 Wolfpack lead.
Cort MacDonald singled.
Rintaro Sasaki walked.
Jimmy Nati struck out bunting (don't see that every day--for a reason).
Charlie Bates singled, MacDonald scored.
JJ Moran doubled, pinch runner Rashad Hayes and Bates scored.
Luke Lavin struck out swinging.
Stanford with a 5-3 lead and hoping Trevor Moore can nail down the save!
Correction it's 6-3 Stanford. There's a partial power outage at Sunken Diamond, so the live stats are frozen. The game is still ongoing.
With two outs, NC State gets an RBI double. Now 6-4 Stanford, but the tying run is at the plate.
Troy Clardy just said that streetlights are out in Palo Alto.
RBI single up the middle. Now a one-run game. Of course this can't be easy...
Moore induces a groundball to shortstop who throws to second for the force out.
Stanford wins, 6-5!
That's a 2-game winning streak. Let's make it 3 Saturday afternoon.

Only one of many. Yet, somehow, Stanford has not been charged with a single error today. Of course there’s still plenty of time.

Yikes. We lose 12-7, despite Sasaki’s home run. Shades of the days when the Angels had Mike Trout in his prime, and he’d have 2 home runs and 6 RBIs in an 8-6 loss.

A 476' home run is incredible in this era of bats needing to be BBCOR 0.50 certified. There were some very long home runs in the unregulated aluminum bat era, but we're really comparing apples and oranges due to the different bat composition.

And @TonyLima, I’m thinking around ‘81-‘83 for Hardgrave, since he was a couple years ahead. Rick Lundblade was my classmate and masher shortly afterwards.
