Yes on 18 but all schools all teams could have a DSA Designated Student Athlete.
Duncan could be one, just guessing. That person or persons would not count toward the 18
Plus it has to be the same person or persons each year.

My understanding is that the roster limit is set at 18. If I have made any mistakes, let me know!

Just took a quick look at the latest AVCA poll.  No real surprises, but the eye-opener was the quality of teams in the top ten.  Talk about a sport that's grown!

PrepDig has Tessa Larkin as the overall #8 recruit in her class. So obviously this would be a significant recruiting get if she flips. Ireland Real who we were all hoping for and picked Texas is ranked #4. Are there any other reliable recruiting rankings out there?

Blyashov looks good against a very weak block.  The question is how she will look against a strong block.

Rubin's back row floor defense has been beyond amazing so far in this match.

I think Zaria Queen notched her first kill today.  She was in briefly against Duke (and I think one other game), but I believe today was her first kill.  If so, congratulations Zaria!

I thought she got one in an earlier match, but I didn't find one in the box scores I checked, so maybe not.
Here's the cumulative stats that say she's played in three sets & three matches, and has 1 kill on 1 attempt:

I believe the cumulative stats include today’s game, since they list 28 games, so that kill happened today.

I don’t know much about the idiosyncrasies of the volleyball committee though I assume they over-rely on the rpi as do most. 
With that caveat, I don’t see much of a case for Texas AM as a 1 seed right now. They’re 10th in rpi, 6th in the AVCA poll and 2nd in the sec. Of course if they win the sec tournament that would create their case. 

At the moment it looks to me as if the race for the final 1 seed is between the eventual ACC champion and ASU (3rd in rpi).
