a 4 point run for oregon. t.o. stanford
turned into an ugly match for stanford.
not doing much well
RE: Stanford Women’s Volleyball - Softball Fan - 11-09-2023
Can anyone on the Stanford team block a ball from the left side of the court?
Middle of fourth set; Oregon looking like the better team.
When you are down big missing a bunch of serves is not helpful.
At the moment Stanford down 19-12.

last 4 times we've got a point follow it with a service errors
RE: Stanford Women’s Volleyball - Softball Fan - 11-09-2023
Belardi gets in and gets serves in the court. That's good.
Going to a fifth set. Oregon with all the momentum and looking like the better team.

GOT THE WIN! Kudos for a bounce back 5th set with momentum on Oregon's side. They are good but we struggled in sets 3-4.

A nail biter for sure, but a win. Certainly a suspenseful viewing experience.

Sorta of a lower case “all right now!” Good enough but not by much. You can tell when they start spacing out because the blocking vanishes like it did in sets 3 and 4.

I'm glad this match wasn't on ESPN. I don't think Stanford was at its best during parts of the match. All most fans and poll voters around the country will see is a W for Stanford.

This was an awful coverage. How many times they cut out to go to commercial. Even in the middle of a play. Stanford was up 8-4 in the 5th. They cut to commercial and come back and all of a sudden, the score was 8-7. I will not miss Pac12 coverage.
RE: Stanford Women’s Volleyball - Softball Fan - 11-09-2023
Live stats show Kipp with 17 digs. If that is correct, that's amazing.

Yes, it was really bad. You would think after all these years they would have the bugs worked out. Looking forward to the ACC and not looking back.

I guess Pac12 needed to pay their bills. So frustrating

I bet a lot of people are leaving or have left Pac-12 Networks because the future of the conference is so uncertain, if it even has a future. Also, the livestreams are "produced" by the school. I certainly don't know exactly what that entails, so who knows whether the mistakes and other issues are Stanford's fault or Pac-12 Networks' fault.

Yeah, all you “fans”, just a poor performance by the #4 team squeaking by the #6 team. Just imagine how you’d feel if you were fans of the losing team.
The game I saw at Maples was filled with really good volleyball, lots of exciting rallies, big hits, great digs, and tough serves.

I take it you putting fans in quotes is meant to be a putdown to people with a different point of view from yours. If not, then why put the word fans in quotes.
You seem to have an aversion to "fans" giving honest objective opinions about the team's performance. If you thought Stanford played great in sets 3 and 4 that's fine. I saw it differently.

You do know that several members of the team were sick, right? Or didn't they mention that on the broadcast... or show how the team was routinely using hand sanitizer all around during timeouts and/or how several players went to the locker room on several occasions?
They looked unbeatable in sets 1 and 2. Eminently beatable in sets 3 and 4. And really gutsy in set 5, when the health factor would have really been kicking in.
The point of the match went to Elia Rubin... when she convinced Hambly to challenge late in set 5 based on an Oregon into the net violation that wasn't initially called, and she was right!

I agree with your points and didn't know some players were sick. Hopefully they recover somewhat for tomorrow's game against OSU which has made a few surprising upsets this season.
Regardless the word fan put in quotes is an attempt at an insult implying fake fan or troll. I haven't seen a single indication of a fake fan in the 137 pages of this thread.

I watched on Pac-12 network.
I didn't catch noticing or hearing announcers mention about players being sick, if they did, I missed it.
Didn't know Rubin the motivation behind that net violation challenge, but yes that was the most crucial turning point of the match I think.
Incredibly gutsy 5th set play for the Card.

For us at the match it was awesome. Beating the number # 6 team in the country for their first road loss of the year awesome
We loved Rubin coming quickly to Hambly for the protest
Yes Kipp all those digs

On the broadcast, I never noticed any players going to locker rooms on several occasions? If starters had done that would have been noticeable
