Yes that Ken willians. 18 years ago or close.
Stan Musial
I don’t believe Stanford’s Ken Williams ever played on a team that won the World Series.

The fourth was Johnny Murphy (a reliever for the Yankees in the 1930s and the GM of the 1969 Mets).
That being said, the WSJ article doesn’t mention what year Williams won it as a player, and his baseball reference card doesn’t have him recording stats on any World Series winning team.

I was the first MLB player to hit 30 home runs and steal 30 bases, which wouldn't happen again until Willie Mays in 1956. I was also the first MLB player to have more home runs (39) than strikeouts (31). That year, I beat Babe Ruth for the home run title.* Like Ruth, I used a 48 ounce bat. I still hold my team's RBI record with 155. I was the first American League batter to have three home runs in a single game.
My career OPS is in the Top 50 in baseball, despite the fact that 1/3rd of my career was in the dead ball era...my career OPS is a little ahead of Duke Snider and Mike Piazza, and a little behind Frank Robinson, Tris Speaker and Henry Aaron.
I was the inspiration for the rule banning corked bats. I ordered some bats, they were too heavy for my liking, and I cored out the center of the bat and replaced it with lighter wood. I was cited for using a corked bat, but they weren't illegal at the time.
In my best year, my sad-sack, perennial last place team finished second to the Yankees by 1.5 games. Six of our eight starters batted .312 or better. If I hadn't been beaned by a pitcher and had a concussion -- and lost ten games -- we might have beat the Yankees for our first pennant.
I was in the Army in WWI. I didn't go to high school, but my namesake was a Stanford baseball player who played in MLB. After my career was over, I returned to my home town of Grants Pass, Oregon where I was a police officer and owned a billiard hall.
Who am I?

Correct. Ken Roy Williams, vs. Ken Royal Williams (Stanford)

The team that wins the Super Bowl receives a limit of 150 rings commemorating their victory, for the players, owners, coaches and staff (an owner can order more if he pays for them himself). Distribution of the rings is at the discretion of the team.
1. Who started the tradition of NFL Super Bowl victors receiving rings?
2. What other group (not affiliated with the teams) receives Super Bowl rings?
3. The New York Yankees baseball team has won 27 championships. 26 of those teams received championship rings. What did the other NYY championship team receive?

The Packers got championship rings after Super Bowl I. They say "World Champions" on them. So Super Bowl rings have been a tradition since the beginning.
Before the Super Bowl began, there were NFL championship rings. I don't know when that started.

I don't know. But I do know that at least some of the Packers got championship watches in 1962, so I'm going to guess that the Yankees got watches one year.
My grandfather was on the Packers' executive committee for many years. He got a championship watch for 1962, and he got NFL championship rings for 1961, 1965, 1966, and 1967, with the last two of those also being Super Bowl rings.

Nicely done, Terry. And all correct.
I don't know about pre-Super Bowl days, but Vince Lombardi did have Super Bowl rings made for the winners of SBI.
The other group that receives Super Bowl rings are the referees.
The 1928 New York Yankees received watches after their 4-0 World Series victory over the Cardinals. It was a white solid gold Piping Rock watch made by Hamilton, the only white gold model they ever produced.

John Cazale, who played Fredo in both
Godfather 1 and
Godfather 2, Stan in Coppola's
The Conversation, Sal Naturile in Lumet's masterpiece
Dog Day Afternoon and Stanley Stosh in Michael Cimino's
The Deer Hunter. Godfather 1&2 and Deer Hunter all won the Best Picture Oscar. Dog Day Afternoon lost to One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest and The Conversation was the same year as Godfather 2.
Those were Cazale's only five full length movies, all nominated for Best Picture Oscars. He died tragically from lung cancer at age 42 right after The Deer Hunter.
