Was following the game on the Texas board. They felt EXACTLY that way until the 8th.
Go figure.
His strike zone shifted in the 9th. I wonder why college broadcasts don't have the strike zone box like MLB.

For those familiar with social media personality / financial advisor Ramit Sethi (‘04, ‘05), he of recent Netflix fame, Sethi often extols the value of his STS education.

He made his money selling a "I'll make you rich" course.

Maybe it's time to stand there for Stanford
So, a pitching decision soon.

It's actually quite a good primer in financial education for the uninitiated. His core philosophies are sound, although the marketing of the Earn 1k and Live Your Rich Life courses might sound a little fluffier.
Quinn Mathews has been amazing tonight. Two innings to go.

NCAA has enough trouble recruiting umpires. Second-guessing^W^W pointing out their errors makes recruiting more difficult. Now if you want to replace the hime plate ump … well, there’s a lot more to the job than just calling balls and strikes.

With that being said, we’re still in it, Go Cardinal!!!

Quinn Matthews has been an absolute warrior. Now the question is who is coming in the 9th.

Even in the 8th inning, Quinn looked effective. 15 strikeouts on 135 pitches. I can't imagine he'll be there for the 9th, but...he looked like he could go a full game.

Matthews with 135 (!) pitches. Man! I want to win and all, but I don't want to ruin a kid's arm doing it.
Hopefully we can create some more breathing room this inning. Another six runs ought to do it.

I'm writing this in the bottom of the eighth.
I'm a pretty casual baseball fan, but I say put in Bruno to start the ninth. Anything besides an out to start the inning, you put in someone else.
Bruno really didn't miss by a lot yesterday. As a Stanford fan, I'd certainly like to see him get the final out. But shortest of leashes, for sure.

It's disappointing that there's hesitation with Bruno now

Agreed, trust in Bruno. have Dugan ready if there's 2 on base.

I would bring in Bruno and reestablish his command live.

Pretty cool if he can have a complete game win in a Super Regional in his Sunken Diamond finale...

Quinn is out there. The insurance runs give him a slightly longer leash, but I remember what 13 innings of relief (169 pitches after two innings the day before) did to Austin Wood (Texas lefty) many years ago...
