Huh.  Wikipedia says John Lynch, Sr was drafted by the Steelers to play Linebacker after playing LB/TE in college.

It is well-known that Duane Kuiper hit one HR (playing for Cleveland) during his major league career.  What may not be known is that he hit an HR in 1984 as a SF Giant in an exhibition game.  Who was the opponent?

Wasn't Santa Clara, was it? The Giants played SCU my junior year (1983) and Kuip was on the Giants that year.

BTW, Kuiper has a legit MLB hitting record, apart from the most-ABs-with-just-one-HR. He holds an actual, legit hitting record with two other MLB players. Anyone know what it is?

Stanford is correct.

The San Quentin HR was hit after he retired.  He was part of a Giants fantasy group that went to SQ to play a game.

On July 27, 1978, playing against the Yankees at Yankee Stadium, Kuiper hit two bases-loaded triples in a 17-5 win over the Yankees. He is one of only three Major League players to accomplish this feat, the other two players being Elmer Valo (1949) and Bill Bruton (1959).
