But I think there is a chance Stanford gets the #7 seed, which could put them in the Kentucky quadrant.

Per the latest RPI estimate (recalculated after the match), we are #7, but #2 is Texas, not Kentucky.

All four of our losses (Nebraska, Texas, SMU, and Louisville) are top-10 teams.  I think we have a chance to avoid Nebraska.  It sure would have been nice to beat SMU.

Kentucky beat Texas twice, so I think they may be seeded ahead of the Longhorns.

ETA:  In KPI (the other ranking the committee can use) Stanford is #9.

I’d like to endorse and amplify the observation re Parks. I have been (quietly ) critical,of her play through much of the year. She was a difference maker tonight. Very, very good setting and the extra blocking dimension and strong defense helped put us over the top.  Lots of heroines tonight and all deserved . But Parks is right up there with the best tonight.

Absolutely.  Parks had some elite blocks tonight.

Yeah, the committee can deviate from RPI, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see them see the SEC champs ahead of Texas, which, as you pointed out, lost twice to Kentucky (and once to A&M).  And, by winning the ACC and closing with a road win over Louisville, we might avoid the dreaded 4th #2 seed.  Also, Kentucky is the only #1 seed we haven’t played, assuming Pitt gets the 4th #1 seed (right now ASU is a smidgen ahead of Pitt, but Pitt beat ASU head-to-head, and ASU has no top-10 wins).

It will be interesting to see how things go.  In Stanford’s favor is the fact that we were the ACC champions with a head-to-head win against the co-champion (Pitt), and that all four of our losses were against top-10 teams, including the top 2 teams by RPI.  Against us is the fact that we only played two matches against teams in the 10-25 range, so we only have a .500 record against top-25 teams, and that SMU, who is currently #8 in RPI, beat us (at Stanford).  It would be defensible for the committee to swap SMU and Stanford, though SMU has its own warts (including a loss to #49 North Carolina).

I think we probably stay ahead of them, given that Stanford lost to four teams with an average RPI of 5, while the average RPI of the five teams SMU lost to was 15.  The two teams had about the same RPI of opponents they beat (95 for SMU, 96 for Stanford).  So this really does become how much you weigh the head-to-head matchup.

I don’t think Louisville (who we just beat), or ASU would leapfrog us.

Watching the NCAA tournament selection show on ESPN.

Nebraska, Kentucky, Texas, Pitt are the 4 #1s (in that order).

Louisville is the #2 seed opposite Nebraska. 

SMU is the #2 seed opposite Pitt (implying that SMU is the overall #5 seed).

Will the ACC champ Stanford team be as low as a 3 seed? They will be in the same bracket as Kentucky or Texas.

They got the absolute best #2 seed IMHO.
Stanford will only play Nebraska if they both advance to the CG.
Stanford played a solid match vs Texas early in the season, and I suspect Stanford improved quite a bit over the season.

A potential S16 match up with Wisconsin. Will be a tough match.

I’m hoping for Penn State to beat Texas. If that happens and Stanford wins their first 2 rounds, the they will host rounds 3 and 4.

Gotta feel for Creighton, whose RPI is #6, but got a 3 seed and to a lesser extent ASU, who had a top-4 RPI but wound up with a #2 seed (and, given that they were put in Kentucky's bracket, that makes them the third best #2 seed).  It doesn't matter that much, except for hosting purposes.

Honestly, it's Nebraska, followed by a morass of good but not great teams (Kentucky, Texas, Pitt, ASU, Creighton, SMU, Louisville, and Stanford).

From the matches I did get to see, I can't really argue with any of the choices for top players and COY, and Stanford sure did pretty well overall, like really well - wow!

To be fair, there are 14 players each on the first (technically 15 because of an tie) and second teams, so basically two per position.  So, really, the “first team” is more like a first and second team, and the “second team” is more like a third team and honorable mention.

Nonetheless, it is an impressive accomplishment for our players.  Particularly impressive is both of our middle blockers got awards (including an all-freshman award for Sayer).  Very impressive, particularly considering that they are a freshman and sophomore, and as recently as two years ago we were seriously concerned about the future at that position.  Imagine if we had landed Harvey.

For all the grief that Parks has gotten here, she was a second team all-ACC as a freshman!  Miner, as a freshman, wasn’t on the 18 person all-PAC-12 team in 2021 (she was HM, and there was only one all-PAC-12 team).  Also, impressive that Blyashov was on the second team, despite spending much of the year starting every other game.  All three of our rotation freshmen were on the all-freshman team.  Bodes well for the future.
