Re: Scouting report on Kansas state? - DC Cat - 08-30-2016

K-State announced their two deep for the Stanford game.

Not a lot of surprises.

Thanks. One hears about community college transfers to K State. Roughly speaking, how many listed in this chart are cc transfers?

Besides the three starters listed below I think that we have done a good job getting away from relying on CC transfers too heavily. They are instead there to offer immediate depth in case of injury or in a DL unit that regularly subs around.

Offense:

Starters:
Byron Pringle
Terrale Johnson

Second String:
Abdul Beecham - will probably only see playing time if there is an injury.

Defense:

Starters:
DJ Reed

Second String:
Craig Settles - Will probably sub in regularly throughtout the game to keep the front fresh
Ray Price - " "
Jesse Mack - Will compete all season for playing time
Cedric Dozier - " "
Jayd Kirby - Will probably only see playing time if there is an injury.

Seems like a young team overall: http://www.kansascity.com/sports/college/big-12/kansas-state/article98814402.html

I don't think this has been posted elsewhere yet (but I saw it on Stanford Football's facebook feed):

The show was Star Wars and Star Trek themed. I enjoyed the show, but unfortunately at one point they had the Enterprise fly at our main rival's mascot. Some people thought it looked like we were depicting an adult act and the situation went viral. As long as you weren't being mean spirited, we would definitely enjoy a jab from your band.

That's an awesome gif. And don't fool yourself that the kids weren't being cheeky in that show. It makes no sense to have the enterprise "penetrate" the jayhawk that way instead of using the photon torpedos to vanquish the fowl. But kuddos to those guys. I only wish our kids had done it.

Don't underestimate ones ability to take a satirical show as "mean spiritied" when ones team is down 3 TDs at half. Context is everything.

That note looks very fake.
