We are shooting 2/12 in the fourth quarter.  I mean, there's no getting round the fact that we aren't putting the biscuit in the basket.

That "foul to give" messes with players' minds. Need to keep it in your pocket for a while.

But if we get a clean in bound, things should be okay.

Also, she didn't foul Lexie.  I mean, it would have been quite a miracle to foul, hope Lexie misses at least one of two free throws and shoot a three with fewer than 2 seconds left, but you still gotta foul and give yourself a chance.  Instead, Lexie dribbled out the clock.

Ugly game but Oregon is a good team and will be a tough out for anyone in the tournament.  They really increased the intensity of their defense in the second half.  I thought the Card were going to let this one slip away but Williams just put the team on her back and willed them to victory.

We escape with a 63-61 win as we get enough clutch baskets at the end despite Oregon taking the lead for the first time in the game and expanding it to five with only a handful of minutes to play.

Kiana led the way with 20 points and some of her 8 made field goals came at critical junctures when we sorely needed a basket.

Lexie was only 2/6 from long range, but both of her 3-pointers came late and were much needed.

Cameron battled in the post and came away with 16 points on 7/12 shooting and 9 rebounds.

Haley had 8 points, but also 5 turnovers as well, nearly all of them unforced. She can seemingly provide instant offense much like Kiana, but she can also be sloppy with the ball.

Mikesell came on late for the Ducks going 5/7 from the field. Sabally fouled out late.

The teams combined for 36 turnovers, so not a clean night for either squad.

Now, we rest and prepare for the Arizona schools.

It’s a win on the road against a ranked team. Not pretty but I’ll take it.
