Refs calling the game closely. That's hurting us as we have three with 2 fouls. All the jump balls have been on our end of the court, many of them when he have control, and the SC player ties it up.

The coverage is so biased. You would think we're down by 20 the way they are calling this broadcast.

For all the talk about South Carolina's rebounding, we've actually captured over 50% of the missed shots on both ends of the floor.

I'll take the 6 point lead. We haven't played well, but we are improving. We need to keep up the defense... Double Boston when she gets the ball in the paint and cover Cook who is their only reliable three point threat.

I think the announcers have noticed that we are "hearing footsteps" and are worried about getting blocked. We actually have more blocks (6) than SC (5). We are also outrebounding them 23-18, including 12 offensive boards (out of 21 missed shots).

If holding SC under 70 was a goal, we are well on the way to that.

Is it just me or are these refs favoring SC?

Hull with 8 points and 8 rebounds. Prechtel with 7 points and 7 rebounds. They are keeping us in this game. Jones was on fire until the refs made her sit.

We are 31-25 at the half; I am not exactly sure how. I guess it's because South Carolina is shooting only 27% and we are hitting 34% of our shots.

We are outrebounding them 23-18, including 11 offensive rebounds, which is great, but SC also has 9 offensive rebounds and some of those second opportunities have led to defensive fouls on our players.

Cam, Haley and Lacie all have 2 fouls each. We survived through the half without them and even have the lead right now, thanks to 4/5 from long range.

I am not sure why we are challenging Boston, she has 4 easy blocks. I guess we were trying to draw fouls on her, but beyond Cam and Ashten, we don't have the size to match up with her and she can easily swat away most of our other players' attempts and don't even get me started with the Fran on Boston low block match. Fran looks absolutely tiny against Boston and she does not have the post moves to outmaneuver her.

Cooke is scoring most of SC's points with 12 points including 2/4 from long range (really 2/3 as the last attempt was a desperation heave at the buzzer that actually hit the rim)

Our offense, we need to try to find a solution. SC's defense is stout for a reason; their guards are speedy fast and can keep up with ours and then their second layer of Boston, Amihere and Saxton are able to competently defend the interior.

This game is going to come down to defense and the possessions. Our offense is better than theirs. If we can continue to defend, rebound, win the 50/50 balls, etc. we're going to win. FWIW, I like Lacie in this game.

The good:
4/5 from three points, Prechtel with 7 points and 7 boards off the bench, rebounding (as I mentioned), holding players not named Cook and Boston to zero field goals.

The bad:
Lexie Hull 0/7 from inside the arc (and as a team, we are 7/27 from two). Getting "Bostoned" four times. Giving up 9 offensive boards (in 20 opportunities).

The ugly:
Brink, Jones, and Lacie all with 2 fouls. The 9 to 5 foul discrepancy. 8 turnovers.

It upsets me to say this but I fear the refs will determine this game. Crazy calls all over the place. I can't even guess which Stanford players will be on the court at the end.

Even with Lexie having a bad game, and Haley on the bench, we are winning with great team defense. I think that Ashten and Fran have done a credible job with a less-present Cameron. Our paint offense is nonexistent, but that's been ok with some threes and Kiana and Haley with midrange game.
