Doug Feinberg of the AP picked Stanford:

Sure hope we don't get on the cover of Sports Illustrated.

Why doesn't everybody just post the results of the games as Feinberg had declared them and we can move the trophy into the Hall of Champions tomorrow!
Flattering that he has picked us, but the more stories like this the less secure I become! The power of contrarian thinking gnaws at me.

Is there a password for the Cardboard Challenge bracket group? I joined with one bracket earlier and it was open but now it's private.

So does Tennessee, puke puke

Sorry if this was already posted. If we are fortunate to advance, per ESPN's schedule, the Spokane regional Sweet 16/Elite 8 games are Friday/Sunday.
Sweet 16: Friday March 25 @ 4PM and 6:30 PM
Elite 8: Sunday March 27 @ 6PM

Yes, thanks for this. We are all set to go, fingers crossed that we will be there -- not taking victories on this Friday and Sunday for granted. But we have gone ahead and bought plane tix, booked a hotel, reserved a rental car. But knowing game times, that's also crucial so that we can set the DVR and record the games for replay if we want to after the regional. It's all part of the advance planning.

Really, not for granted. Everything can be canceled, but we don't want to take a chance on not being able to get reservations.

Just ribbing (and envious). If a getaway to Spokane was in the cards for next weekend, I would have done exactly what you did. Enjoy the trip (I'm confident that Stanford will take care of business at Maples).

I recognized the ribbing, no problem. At this point, we really don't take anything for granted, but we do like to be sure we can get there. Lots of adventures over the years getting to games in the tournament. Highlight (idiotic lowlight?) was in 1996, when regional was in Missoula. We bot plane tix three weeks in advance -- not a lot of flights to Missoula so we wanted to be sure to get reservations. And then the Thursday we were to fly, we missed our flight from SFO. No other flights available, so we drove -- 1100 miles in 24 hours and made it to the game on Friday evening. I've already checked the driving distance to Spokane JIC -- nearly 900 miles. We're dedicated!

Colorado loses. I have mixed feelings about this. It's not good for the Pac-12, but I really don't mind Colorado getting knocked out in the first round.

Two 10 seeds winning today pretty much breaks all of my brackets. Colorado couldn't bully their way to a win.
And the #5 seeded VA Tech is going down to the #12 seeded FGCU.
I hope the womens' tourney seeding committee is proud of themselves.
