If my math on Indiana guards is right, I think this means Lexie is safe. She, Mitchell, and Allen were all subbing for each other yesterday, so now I think it just leaves Mitchell and Lexie to share the shooting guard spot
And I think Smith is safe too since they're now at 12 total remaining.

Not a great start to the season.
Only a few minutes played. Didn't pick up any useful stats.
She's still in school isn't she? That's gotta be hard to balance.

It probably doesn't reflect well on the Fever for them to waive their # 6 draft choice. But I think unless Hull really steps it up, there is a decent chance she's waived at some point this season. It is just very hard to make a roster and teams don't have the ability to be overly patient with player development. The league is talented all around and few actually make a roster. If someone isn't performing, there is likely another decent pickup option to replace.
Carrington started for Connecticut today and scored 10 points in over 30 minutes. Did her draft stock increase significantly playing her final season at Baylor or would she have been drafted the same even if she stayed at Stanford another year?
Former Stanford players currently on a roster in the WNBA; Nneka, Chiney, Alanna Smith, Lexie Hull -it's a pretty small, short list.
I thought I saw Uconn had 16 former players on opening day rosters.

Hull did not have a good game either today in Sunday's game against the Sparks. She played 14 minutes off the bench, but was held scoreless on 0/5 shooting (including 0/3 from long range) with 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal. I think her shooting streakiness will be her Achilles' heel. She shot well from three point range, but from inside the arc, she didn't convert as many baskets as she could have. And in the pro game, with more experienced, taller and stronger defenders, it will be tougher to draw fouls too.
Alanna had a better game for Indiana. She logged 17 minutes as a reserve, scoring 10 points (4/8 shooting and 2/4 from 3-point range) with 2 rebounds, 2 blocks, 1 assist and 1 steal.
Even with all the new additions, the Fever are 0-2 to start the season. Three of their starters are rookies (South Carolina's Henderson, Baylor's NaLyssa Smith and Queen Egbo) with two more rookies off the bench (Hull and Louisville's Engstler), so hopefully they will adapt to the pro game and put up better results.
On the Sparks' side, Nneka had 13 points and 8 rebounds while Chiney chipped in 6 points and 9 rebounds off the bench.

at stanford she would have played behind haley. she was showcased at baylor.

In 4 games, (two pre-season, two regular season games), Hull is 1/21 on field goal attempts. I repeat 1/21 on her field goal attempts.
That is rough. Agreed with previous sentiments that her inaccuracy has always been her undoing.

Indy news did acknowledge Lexi's hustle and scrapiness. In highlights she got beat overplaying on defense a couple times. Alanna looked good in highlights; very, very quick up and down floor; her 2 3's were from deep

She seems like a terrific person, and I REALLY hope she makes it, but I've thought from the beginning that #6 was too high. She's an excellent defensive player and disrupter for players 6 ft and under, so long as they aren't super quick. But, she has never had a consistent go to offensive move. Her 3 pt is totally inconsistent, and she never developed a midrange jump shot or floater. Her main choice is a streak to the basket, but half the time her layup is too strong. Plus, there are more agile bigs in the pros to defend.
Maybe they keep her around and tell her to shoot 500 3's a day. That seems like the most productive road to offensive improvement.

Why would she be defending a big? Wouldn't she be defending a 2? I'm not sure I see her as a 3 in the pros. Or are you saying she's a 'tweener defensively?

in presason i'm pretty sure she was playing a 3; 2 guards and Lexie listed as forward

Lexie's go to move (apart from a killer back door cut): start on right wing, fake baseline and use left hand to take defender toward FT line, use body to tow defender toward the hoop, then stop and pop for a pullup jumper a couple of feet inside the FT line
