Unfortunately, we've been having games like this recently. Cal exposed our offensive vulnerabilities and Close & Gottlieb learned well from the tapes and showed that it was not an aberration.
Even if we come back and win this game, Tara will need to find a way to jumpstart our offense and adjust when facing this defensive scheme. When teams are denying your All-Americans with double or triple teams, that should leave others with the space they need to attack and we haven't done that. Once you realize you got more than one defender on you, that means there's an open or at least semi-open teammate somewhere. Move the ball and find that unguarded player.

Jones just isn't a point guard. She is a power forward. A very very good versatile power forward but not a point guard.

We've had some horrible offensive games in the past but this may be the worst.

They were rewarded for their extreme aggressiveness. It took us totally out of sync as well as dictated the style of the game - ugly.
These refs should be drawn and quartered.

USC hasn’t made a field goal the last 8 minutes of game time and their lead has grown. I’m at a loss for words. No offensive urgency. We just like inept. This has to be one of the worst loses in many many years.

Was away from tv, so didn't start watching until midway through 3rd. Ugh!!!. I can't stand to go back and read all the posts for this game -- too painful to deal with it!

I hope this wakes up the team. We aren't just going to waltz into the Final Four. Players not named Brink need to play with more intensity.
