Look again.  It was a flop. Haley had her arm up and Rice tried to draw an offensive foul.

The one that they missed was Cameron chucking #21 before getting that last offensive rebound.

Another ugly win but I guess it all counts the same.
Osbourne had 7 rebounds
All Stanford guards had 7 rebounds combined

UCLA had 17 offensive rebounds
Stanford had 7

Going to be the Achilles heel I fear unless something changes

Where’s the senior night celebration coverage? This senior class deserves better.

anyone have a link to a replay of cam's coast to coast?

Free throws are saving our bacon.

Awful third qtr. Haley looked like she was slowly wandering around out there.  No effort on off rebounds. Really bad. Then, fourth qtr and defense much better, a bit more aggressive, and Brink. Haley takes an energy pill. Refs were fine I thought. Lepolo free throws close it out and Brink block.  I'm waiting for Lepolo detractors.

We need big work on rebounding. We don't even try sometimes. Strange.

Yes it would be nice if the game wasn't so close.  But I'm sure South Carolina didn't want to go to OT against Ole Miss in their last game.  I'm going to focus on the toughness in the 4th quarter that won us the game.  Brink slashing to the rim and knocking down all of her free throws.  Lepolo hitting two brobdingnagian free throws to seal the game.  Big defense by Demetre on Osborne driving to the basket.  Iriafen blocking Jones' 3-point attempt.

That was quite a toss by Cam..

Tara and staff are gonna have to work on their halftime speech when we've got a big lead.  This team needs motivation to play well.  They can't coast and expect to win.

Liked the fact that introduced, the seniors in alphabetical order, this didn't highlight one over another

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. UCLA Monday 6pm Senior Day - martyup - 02-20-2023

Rice might have cost the Bruins the game when she tried to draw the offensive foul on Haley with 1:24 to play.  It left Haley wide open under the basket and allowed us to go up by 3.

Third quarter was a disaster but we did what we had to in the 4th to pull it out.
Congrats to the team for being tough at crunch time.

RE: WBB: Stanford vs. UCLA Monday 6pm Senior Day - martyup - 02-20-2023

Lepolo had the same points (11) as both Rice and Osborne.

Any hinting re whether any of the seniors might be returning for a fifth year?

Offensive rebounds
UCLA 14
Stanford 5

Hustle, positioning, and scrappiness by UCLA.

NOTHING so far, but sure would be nice. We'll, maybe, learned that Ashton will finishing this year with a masters as well as a BA. So highly unlikely for her

Cameron Brink was 15-15 at the free throw line.  Just incredible.

I just noticed that Jump had a goose egg for the night, except for 2 rebounds.

RE: WBB: Stanford 71 -- UCLA 66 - Jskass - 02-20-2023

Well at least she contributed because those rebounds and the steal were important!
