Video of Stanford practicing in the Nebraska venue. It looks like Rubin is ok to play or at least to practice based on the video.
That’s a good sign. I’ll be in Lincoln tomorrow for the game. Will try to provide some updates at the game!

Some updates would be appreciated. If I understand correctly this is the first time volleyball matches have been played at this venue; capacity about 15,000.

There’s a u tube video that I can’t seem to post with Rubin where Hambly says only the woman on cruches is out. That’s Dunkle. Rubin is part of the press conference

Once again, ESPN/ACC have caused me undue panic. This was listed as a 4 pm start. Now all of a sudden it's 6 pm. Sigh.

Quite a scene here in Lincoln. Feels like a Final 4 environment. This is the definition of a college town and the energy and support is something to behold. Nebraska looked really good as expected.
Rubin is warming up and looks good to go. We have one player not dressed on crutches. We look loose. I’m expecting a great match!

First set wasn’t pretty. Many unforced errors. It looked like the first game of the year. We looked much better in set 2. Rubin looked like the best player on the floor and Harvey played better. Also Florida has some ATHLETES. Feels like this is a match that could go 5. Hoping we keep the momentum.

Maybe unsurprising but Nebraska fans are pretty openly cheering for Florida. Granted they are clearing out some as our game goes on.

Young players (Parks, Etzler and Sayer) playing pretty well. Parks is impressive. Sayer offense is good. Just need to read FL offense better. She’s sometimes late in blocking. Etzler is gritty

All things considered, I think about as good as you’d expect. Blocking and defense has room for improvement but got better throughout the game. Feels like the timing with the setters and hitters just needs more repetition and game time and even some experimenting with different lineups. No doubt we have talent. I like our young players a lot. Always great to beat a ranked team to start a new season.
Stanford is pretty well represented in Lincoln. I’d say 30-35 mostly parents/families here to support. Let’s enjoy the win. Go Card.

All right now! Stanford wins 3 sets to 1, ending with a net fault by Florida confirmed by our challenge.
I think we're gonna get crushed by the Cornhuskers on Sunday.
