According to gostanford.com, today's game vs Arizona has been "postponed." But the updated schedule shows Stanford playing Texas on Friday at 2:30 pm, Boise State on Saturday at 2:30 pm, Boise State on Sunday at noon, and Santa Clara on Sunday at 2:30 pm. Three games, but none involving Stanford, will be played at Santa Clara.

The rescheduled Arizona game is Saturday at 9:30 am. All Stanford games on ACCNX. 

So five games in a little more than 48 hours! But I'm excited to see how Stanford does against Texas this afternoon.

Still I loved the way Stanford hung in against the defending champs.

Unfortunately, Stanford lost this morning, 4-1 to UA. Had two on and nobody out in the bottom of the seventh but couldn't bring anyone home. Last out was a "loud" out--fly ball caught on the warning track in left.

in SoCal so attended Mary Nutter. Sat behind home plate watching Texas Tech with Nijaree Canady pitching. Thinking oh what could have been. Still awesome to watch her.

Clarifying that the final score was 3-2

Both teams were scoreless going into the 7th. Boise State scored 2 in the top of the inning. 

Stanford was down to its last out with 1 on. Two walks later, Berry had a 3-0 count. She watched two pitches down the middle for a full count. Then she singled up the middle for her second hit of the weekend. The game was tied. After an intentional walk, Economides singled. 

The final score was 3-2

After watching the WWP yesterday, I wandered over to see the new softball stadium. Very nice. I especially appreciated the 3 structures beyond the outfield fences for fans to watch from there. They were well used (mostly by families) along with a number of others standing, watching.

Rebounded today going 2-0. Felt like a little bit of a disappointing weekend that we couldn't beat either ranked Texas or Arizona at home plus losing to Boise. Very early and lots of game ahead still though.

Stanford beats Louisville today 10-8. Lots of errors wild pitches passed balls and Stanford walked 8 but gave up just 5 hits.

In the first game of the series she struck out the first six batters she faced. I was kind of surprised she didn't get the start yesterday.

Need to shout out Zoe--ACC pitcher of the week with 24 strikeouts in 9.2 hitless innings (that's incredible, to strike out 24 of the 29 outs), two wins and one save last weekend.  If we can get consistent solid pitching, we might be able to make some noise in the postseason.

Good post. Yes, congrats to Zoe. At 14-6, Stanford is sitting #16 RPI, mainly due to its mostly challenging non-conference schedule. Up next is yet another home series this weekend, this one against #129 RPI, 9-15 Notre Dame.

Stanford plays Notre Dame This weekend. The Irish are 10-15, 0-3 in league play. Of interest they have yet to play a home game.
Notre Dame has 10 players from California
