Re: Recruiting evaluation - BostonCard - 02-10-2014

I always thought the Bootleg Poster was Garry Cobb Jr., the son who played cornerback at Stanford.

Quote:Stanford football alum ('02), attorney, expert football recruiting analyst/globe trotter.

He certainly speaks as someone who played the position, and would explain what he was doing on the board.

Add, he goes by SUIndian31, which was Garry Cobb Jr's number at Stanford, so I am fairly certain it is "our" Garry Cobb Jr.

And, so it is. - Redrum - 02-10-2014

I've exchanged some messages with him. To his credit, he has never mentioned his dad or his dad's media tie-ins in Philladelphia.  (If he had, I wouldn't be walking this back right now).  So, the factual part of my post is:  he IS trying to make a place for himself in the recruiting evaluation guru space,  and he does spend a lot of time analyzing HS kids as part of building his own brand.  It's also factual that he delivers a lot of value for the time spent reading his posts.

Other than that, everything I thought I knew was wrong.  Wouldn't be the first time.

thanks Terry.  it was fun to see Coach Hart light up talking about Phillips and Thomas.  for a guy who has been around the block a time or too, it is nice to see.  Thomas' clip inside over the nose was impressive.  may be he is our disruptor inside when we go to 4 man fronts?

I like Franklin a lot. He seems like an ideal nickel corner.
