I think it was an intentional fake, the blocking was weird for a normal punt.

The shenanigans on this Utah punt are amazing. First a punt hit the wire for the skycam, and so Oregon had great field position. But the refs called it back, had to review to get field position and clock right, and then Utah ran a fake punt and got it. Oregon just can't get any breaks.

Impressive that a kicker with kidney failure could have done that.

I don't know about the kidneys but this kid has a big leg, chutzpah and b**ls. The last few yards running was a work of football art.

Oregon and Arizona, both playing with backup quarterbacks, are also both getting throttled on their home fields. Is this when we start hearing Duck fans bitching about the other team running up the score??
No, Oregon's protocol for dealing with losses is to exaggerate their injuries more and more in the weeks following the loss. (See: 2013)

You must have recently started watching PAC football. Late in the Mike Bellotti era was when they began their real rise and starting to score LOTS of points on overmatched opponents. On the occasions, though, when the tables were turned and UO got beat down (like tonight), their fans without fail would bitch and moan about how classless the other team was for running up the score.

You really think the long snapper intentionally sailed that ball that way? Really?

SC up 21-0 on ASU in Tempe... which, of course, makes our win more impressive.

SC winning out will make Stanford a hot topic in CFP committee discussions.*
*of course assuming Stanford handles its own business

I'll be glad to play them in that circumstance. Whoever comes out of the south is going to be a worthy opponent. The North winner is likely to have 2 (or more?) losses.
The North looks pretty middling so far this year. Big Game 118 could be very meaningful. If the North champ has 2+ losses, it will likely be at the hands of Southern foes.
[/quote]
I don't know about that necessarily. Once Oregon loses to Utah, the North will be 3-3 (1-1 against the South). Overall, the North will be 15-8. The South will have had a better out of conference record (at 19-5).

Don't want to jinx anything but... I feel like things are setting up pretty well for us.

Noooooooooooooooooo!
I am now officially worried about Cal. ALthough Washington isn't a great team, their defense acquitted itself well. Plus, Texas played Oklahoma State about as well as it played Cal. To the extent that the transitive property applies, that would place Cal as a 20 - 25 ranked team.
I am very worried about UCLA. They crushed Arizona today. They have a really good running game and we don't have a defensive line to defend it. Though their BYU game last week was tight (to a team that got absolutely crushed today), an inconsistent Rosen is to be expected, and you know he will be psyched up to beat the team that passed on him.
Oregon and Arizona did not impress today, but they had a bad game.

Utah is up 62 - 13 on the Ducks, and they still have 8:41 left to add to that score. YEEEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!

After the Northwestern game, we should be worried about every game on our schedule. Take nothing and no one for granted.

Utah has now hung 61 on Oregon. Yikes.
I wonder how long until the Duck faithful question whether Helfrich was continuing on Kelly's momentum and can't do anything without Mariota. Cause you could just substitute Harbaugh for Kelly, Shaw for Helfrich, and Luck for Mariotta.

No, I'm aware. I just got pissed how the story after our win over them in 2013 grew to the point where Mariota was missing arms and legs and had an eye falling of his socket according to most Oregon fans.
