It's Signing Day and not a single post? Wild.

Summary so far: we have a couple more PWO WR commits, LJ Martin signed with BYU as expected, and the big news (literally) so far is 2 transfer OL from Harvard and Penn.

I mentioned that already.

Cameron Brandt flipped to Michigan, also as expected. Though it's only technically a "flip" because he hadn't officially decommitted (which he did as soon as Shaw stepped down).

Looks like a bottom quartile of the Pac-12 class (or maybe just above that, as I think officially 24/7 has us 1 pt above OSU).  Of course, the schools below us can better bolster their ranks with transfers.  It's our worst class since our minuscule 12 commit 2013 class.

We will rely on TT and staff to be able to make the whole be more than the sum of the parts.
No small task

Anyone know why Gaskins, McGee, and Libman are not listed on the official GoStanford CardClass23 roster?

From a percentage perspective it keeps getting harder and harder to get admitted to Stanford.  Hopefully the new head coach has a handle on academically who to recruit.  I recall an article on Harbaugh his first year going on a rant about all of his recruits admissions rejected.  He figured it out the second year.

Today in Stanford Daily:

I tried to find the number of applicants for my class ('82) and failed, the closest I could find was for the class of 1978 which had 8,025 applicants (about seven times as many people applied this year) and 31% (~2,490 admits) were offered admission vs 3.6% this year (2,075 admits). The yield rate has also gone up a lot, for the class of 1978 it was 69%, this year 84%.

here's the info on the class of 1978

Time to unpin this thread?  I can't imagine there will be any more action on the class of 2023, although I suppose some PWO's will be announced in the next month as Stanford announces its admissions.

I think we’re safe to unpin. People can still post to it if they feel so led down in gen pop…
