Maybe Roberto Perez? Given Bailey's emergence and the signing of the two new catchers at AAA (Jacob Nottingham, Anyelo Gonzales and Ricardo Genoves, plus they brought up three catchers to their black and orange squads), perhaps Perez gets the cut.
I hope Jackson is ready. He's pitched 5 1/3rd for the River Cats and has struck out 8. But his ERA is 6.75 (I know it's the PCL) and he's given up four hits and walked four. That's quite a bit. His last two outings were clean single innings, and his last outing he struck out all three batters. Three outings ago, he gave up four runs in 2/3 of an inning.

I wouldn't worry too much about the walks, the ABS has made a pretty big impact this season. . . .

Giants are 1-8 in Sabol’s last 9 catching starts. Giving up about 5 runs a game and that’s leaving out a 16 run game in MC. As they show they are legit contenders they can’t afford him as No 2. . So, I think they keep Bart. The problem is what do they do when all (Estrada Pederson) are healthy? They have three spots -Johnson, Wisely, Villar. I think Johnson goes to Sac when Luke Jackson comes up. That will be very soon, maybe today. Estrada replaces Villar. Bart replaces Wisely. They can use Sabol as OF/DH. But then, what do they do when Pederson comes back (he’s apparently a ways away)? That’s where it gets sticky. Course, by then someone else might get dinged up.

I'm struck by the number of important Giants who have .800+ OPS numbers, eight by my count:
Slater, 1.064
Bailey, 1.020
Schmitt, .851
Wade, .850
Pederson, .844
Davis, .841
Estrada, .811
Conforto, .807
Yaz and Sabol are above league average OPS at .778 and .750 (league average is .729). Flores is .705, Haniger is .704 and moving up fast. Crawford is struggling at .652 and Bart is really struggling at .581. Wisely and Johnson are .509 and .502 respectively -- it wouldn't surprise me if they were sent back down for regular time soon.
Giants, BTW, have climbed the OPS ladder as a team, they're now T11th in MLB at .742 and 12th in runs per game. They're still 15th in runs allowed per game at 4.5, though they've climbed to 11th in ERA at 4.03 and 12th in WHIP. They're really making their mark in fielding, having improved from 28th to 23rd in Rtot over the past few weeks. They're 4th in DPs, but tied for last in fielding percentage. Both Crawford and Sabol contribute mightily to that number -- they have 11 of the team's 43 errors. The other infielders have 4 (Davis,Wade) or three (Estrada, Wisely), but the pitchers have a surprising seven, collectively. Sabol has two with three passed balls.
Rtot positive players are:
Haniger, 5
Schmitt, 3
Johnson, Slater, 2
Wisely, Bailey, 1
Giants and Marlins are tied for the 5th and 6th playoff spot. They have a 1 game lead over the Mets for the last wild card spot.

I’m usually not big on run differential. But when it’s this out of whack…. Marlins are -41. Expected W-L is 22-32. Hard to believe they keep that up.

Yeah, I put out the Walker comment before Beck was sent down when Slater was back. Still a bit surprised they kept Walker over Beck. Especially since Jackson will be a one inning leverage guy, with, I suspect, limits on going back to back. Beck eats more innings than Walker. Let’s see what happens in a week. Wouldn’t be surprised to see Beck called up for Walker. Especially if they have a couple games with heavy pen innings. He has to be down for 10 days.
Course, other option is Harrison. But they have to get him stretched out to 90-100 and that’s a few weeks away.

Carson Whisenhunt and Jose Cruz combined to strike out 11 over 7 innings for the Eugene Emeralds in high-A, and have been promoted to AA Richmond.
Whisenhunt has a killer changeup, supposedly the best in the 2022 class and is being promoted after just six high-A starts. Supposedly his changeup is major league level already. He needs to develop his other pitches.
In 2022, Cruz struck out 86 batters in 52 1/3rd innings, and made the California League all star team. The Giants added him to the 40 man to protect him from the Rule 5 draft. He throws mid-90s and has a low three-quarter delivery which leads to a -4.38 VAA (Vertical Approach Angle, sort of the opposite of the launch angle...basically explains the "sneaky fast" phenom). Most VAA fastball angles are between -4 and -7, Cruz's is considered very flat and very difficult to hit. Current downside is he needs better control on his slider.

Pederson might be activated today. Bart getting close. Estrada maybe Monday. Decision day looms.I’m thinking maybe they start with sending Walker down. (After Johnson and Wisely) 12 pitchers. They can do that if starters get deep. Beck will have served his 10 and can be added if necessary. It at least kicks it down the road a bit.

Forgive my ignorance, but to whom are you referring. I looked at the Rivercats and the Flying Squirrels stats, and no one comes close to that slash line.
Luis Matos. That’s his slash line at Sac. When you look at his ‘23 stats, it is for both Richmond and Sac. Baseball Reference (always my source) allows you to see stats broken down by level/ team player is with.
Overall he’s at .344/.415/.492/.903. 18 K’s in 211 PA’s

The Giants' outfield may now be best its been in years, but I'm fairly confident saying that doesn't mean much relative to MLB, and that it can be improved.
I've not seen Matos enough to know if he is an excitable and entertaining player who can energize a team, or just a guy who is putting up impressive numbers who is like a wallflower.
Frankly, I'd give him a shot to play every day regardless of who is playing now, to see if he can bring the production and energy that gets the Giants playing better than .500 baseball. How great would it be to have a regular CF who plays every day?
