The article in the comment after that by Jason Whitlock was interesting:

"Scalia?  Really?". I'm surprised Obama didn't weigh in.

FYI:  Scalia made some comments suggesting that some black students might be more successful going to "lesser" universities.  See info at

Thanks.  Interesting, to me, that some folks take what he said as an insult to minority students.  I don't read it that way at all.  He is saying, I think, that most minority students (those likely to be candidates for affirmative action) suffer from poor preparation provided by their public education, not that the students are inherently inferior.  It applies equally to non minorities, myself being a case in point.  My public high school did a very poor job of preparing me for a school like Stanford and so I struggled, mightily.  If I had not had strong family backing (which is to say they would have killed me) I might have transferred to a less demanding school.  Had nothing to do, I hope, with my intellectual capacity and everything to do with the preparation I was offered.  If I am corr ct and this is what Scalia meant, then Harry Reid and Al (Reverend) Sharpton are mistaken.

Well, actually he didn't.  He referred to briefs that had been submitted in the case that raised the issue of mismatch.  He would be remiss to not do so.  Mismatch is an area of objective concern as I understand it and has been part of the discussion of affirmative action for a number of years.

I like how most of them actually end up somewhat agreeing with us.

I like how they think that the auto-corrections are evidence of "cult-like" status.

That's because they can't understand how software can be so sophisticated.  Most of those participants are sure "software" refers to their Christmas sweater.

Re: Henry wins - winflop - 12-14-2015

I have given up on the Voldemort.  I will never again watch the show nor pay attention, even if McCaffrey breaks his own record next season.

The 100 or so voters who didn't even put McCaffrey's name on their top 3 should have their ballots revoked - PERMANENTLY.  How much you wanna bet most of them are in SEC country?

Voting should not be opened until after the CCG's are played.

No school should be allowed to send any promotional content out until after Halloween.

Even with all that, it will still screw over the Pac-12.

Re: Henry wins - Jskass - 12-14-2015

Do the voters have to attest to having seen tapes of the players' games for whom they are voting, or does it suffice for them to just know that the candidates attend an SEC school before they vote?

Re: Henry wins - fullmetal - 12-14-2015

There were a few Texas-based voters who left off McCaffrey based on Fournette/Mayfield worship and TD totals.  Ignorance is ugly to behold.

According to their bios:

CM = 6' 0"
DH = 6' 3"
DW = 6' 2"

Hmmmmhhhh

Re: Henry wins - fullmetal - 12-14-2015

I might buy DW at 6'2", DH at 6'0", and WildCaff at 5'10".  McCaffrey's ESPN bio says 6'1"...

I don't know about others, but our guys have a remarkable ability to shrink between the final bowl game and the combine :)

Re: Henry wins - Mick - 12-14-2015

out of curiosity, did any Far West voters leave McCaffrey off of their ballots?

Re: Henry wins - yvonne - 12-15-2015

Is the H trophy voting process broken? Yes, that's a rhetorical question. This video analyzes how.
