Hey - 02-05-2016
This thread was specifically started to encourage people to move their political debates off of the recruiting thread (especially right before signing day). My preference is that the threads remain on topic so it's easier to filter. I think it's funny how this thread has evolved. And "Hey Big Brother" was my favorite LSJUMB song growing up.

Cal girl wins tonight and a USC won earlier in the week. Semifinals are next week, hopefully it can set up for a Pac-12 final with football-esque esults.

Beans are a large, diverse group, from the playful Mexican jumping beans to the detestable Lima bean, soured by their existence on the industrial steppes of northeastern Ohio, hovering in the sinister shadows of Iowa, a mere 400 miles away. We should resist the impulse to stereotype beans as a monolithic menace to our way of life. They are really disparate and divergent menaces to our way of life and must be treated with respect in addition to our natural fear and loathing.
Going full circle on the case for beans (retried or not), I give you this nugget about the lowly fava bean and it's 15 minutes of fame (or infamy) in "Silence of the Lamb."  It seems to fit in well with thread drift... As for me, I'll stick with a fine chianti! -Cheers!

Since we are talking about hidden meanings/Easter Eggs in films, I thought whoever discovered this reference to The Matrix in Star Wars, Attack of the Clones, had way too much time on his hands.

Oh! You want political posts here.
I heard a rumor that Jerry Springer and Judge Judy will be moderating the GOP debate tonight?

Lady Gaga's national anthem was awesome! Did she practice at LSJU too? Bing Concert Hall?

RIP Dan Hicks.
I think most if not all of his Hot Licks are still with us.
You went away and will be missed.
