Oregon is confirmed to be one of them. I wouldn’t be shocked if Stanford is too.
I think we are a strong contender for Wagner and I believe she is visiting Stanford this week. She was recently asked in an IG Q&A if since decommitting from Baylor, was she considering Stanford. Her response was along the lines of absolutely as long as I can get accepted. She mentioned she would be putting out a new list of finalists soon and I'd be stunned if Stanford wasn't on that list.
At one point within the last few years, Wagner was ranked #2 in her class by ESPN, then #4, now she's dropped to #11. Still would be a major get for the 2023 class.
From her twitter account, Wagner has now taken unofficials to Oregon and USC...

She posted on her Instagram that she also plans on visiting Texas, Baylor, Arizona, Stanford, Texas A&M, LSU, and maybe a few others around July. She also said she wants to have her list narrowed down before September 1 (which is when colleges can start calling players).
Not as good as Haley Jones at that age, but a similar skillset as a point forward-type player.

The release point on her shot is so high. She really takes advantage of her length. Going to be hard for defenders to stop her mid-range game.

And for a tall player to have such an effective step-back jumper makes her impossible to defend. Who knows if the clips that get inserted into tweets are truly representative, but she was scoring through packs of people who were mauling her.

if you like, watch the video of the california hs open division championship game that scorecard linked above. it seems to be the entire game compressed to about 20 minutes. brooke hits a very high % of her shots. most are contested - by an excellent team although the defenders are generally shorter than brooke. she shoots mainly from midrange but also from 3 and also down low. she can create her own shot. and good call on the step-back jumper!
her offense is terrific. we'll have to wait to see how good her defense is against top NCAA teams.

But with the current team, she would likely have to defend the worse player on the opposing team. Wilson and Lexie are great defenders. Brink and Jones are good defenders who have the potential to be great. That leaves Demetre guarding the opposing team’s worst player. And this is assuming that Demetre’s defense isn’t as good as her offense.

I hope we are recruiting Jadyn Donovan as well. She is followed by Britney Anderson and has a 4.10 GPA. Would be great to get 3/5ths of her high school team all at Stanford. Donovan, her fellow U16 team member Dudley and 2022 / former U16 team member Kiki Rice.

This article notes that Zyanna Walker (already on BobK’s list) holds an offer from Stanford:
https://247sports.com/college/louisville/Article/KK-Bransford-Louisville-basketball-Zaniyah-Williams-Zyanna-Walker-Jeff-Walz-166756052/
“The 5-foot-8 Walker is the No. 15 player in the '22 class, according to Prep Girls Hoops, and checks in at No. 30 in ESPN's rankings.
Walker has over 20 Division 1 offers, including U of L, Kentucky, Mississippi State, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Arizona State, and Stanford. She has suffered two injuries to the same knee, including a torn ACL and then a meniscus tear.”

OK, this is the new thread. I started it with a copy of the old top post (using a trick to make it have an old creation date) and kept the posts from about May 1 onward, except the ones about splitting the thread.
We can move more posts here or move some back to the old thread if anyone wants to. I thought about moving off topic posts back to the old thread but didn't have quite that much patience.

I have thought about updating rankings and will. Keep in mind those from certain states couldn’t travel for travel basketball. Either Covid or still playing HS In Their late start seasons.
Of course others could do some ranked higher sone not seen dropped
