We were already including 2026 recruits in this thread, so I retitled it to 2025+ similarly to the MBB and WBB threads. But if folks prefer a separate thread, feel free to start one.

Bear Bachmeier is back and has led his team to the state finals.
Murrieta Valley vs. Newbury Park CIF Southern Section D2 football final should provide fireworks
He is a runner as well as a passer and perhaps that is what we need rather than a pure passer.

glad he's coming here. the article mentions that he was injured at some point this season, but i assume he is fully recovered.

He missed the first half of the season, but is back and putting up good numbers running and passing. Apparently Georgia recently offered; hopefully we can keep him.

Fwliw, the Polynesian Bowl is airing on NFL Network. A couple of Stanford commits on the roster (not sure if playing): Nusi Tamoepeau (LB) and Donte Utu (S).

Let's see what QB Luke Nickel does also, from undefeated #2 in USA Milton HS (North Atlanta suburbs)...
He did take his team to the 5A State finals, and threw 21 of 22 for 413 yards and 4 TDs. In the Champ game.
Nickel has about the same rating (77-79) as Kevin Hogan out of High School, but with better stats on a better team.
Football IQ. Fearless. Not sensational for the scouts. But he delivers TDs against top competition in GA.
He had 20 D-I offers out of HS.

In 2023, also undefeated and a 7A State Title in GA:
Leading the Eagles to a state title this past fall, the 6-foot-2, 205-pounder tossed for 3914 yards and 39 touchdowns to five interceptions against some of Georgia’s top programs. Nickel also added six more scores on the ground during the 13-win season.

??? As far as I know, Nickel is still enrolled at Miami and has not said that he is leaving. He posted on social media how excited he is to play with his brother who is transferring to Miami.

Correct, I have no idea where the prior poster got that idea. (Though dad is a Stanford alum)

My apologies, I'm sure this has been asked and answered. How strong are the six winter transfers supposed to be? How many projected starters, how many in the mix, how many special teams? Three WRs, two OLs and one LB.

Of the 6 mentioned in the GoStanford piece, IIRC, Johnson (LB) and <maybe> Caden High (WR) got people's heart rates somewhat elevated
