We just saw a 4th and 45, and your post is the craziest thing I've seen all night, LOL.

At the end of the day, the defense held a team to a respectable point total and the offense (i.e. Davis Warren) looked above average, albeit against a really banged up team. It's not something to thump your chest about, but it does mean that Stanford is NOT the worst team in the ACC (according to this week's standings, anyway).

And, yes, Kal and $C lost, so I'm smiling pretty big right now.

WAKE upset LOUV in KY today 30 - 27.
They can run the ball with two guys.
But their passing game goes thru ONE GUY, #8 Carlos Fernandez at WR.

And if you really want to pull back, how many of the pundits had Stanford at .500 after four games? By wins-and-losses, you can make the argument the team is exceeding expectations.

I remember the 2018 season when Stanford had to air it out a lot. And they were successful. Sometimes you just end up with an OL that can pass block better than they can run block. Turns out we have some good WRs too. And we also have a solid RB who can threaten at any time if the defense cheats away from the LOS.

Thankfully, none of the Stanford mistakes/penalties cost them the game (offensive playcalling included). Brandon Nicholson had such a clutch, clutch INT, and I hope he's doing okay. He may have saved the game for Stanford. The penalties, bad tackling, and bad playcalling certainly didn't help. But we can learn from those mistakes, right?

The last real offensive possession was Shaw-esque, running twice ineffectively and then failing an obvious third and long passing situation...with five minutes left on the clock. We know that nightmare and should have exorcised it long ago.

Credit to the halftime adjustments that resulted in the win. Maybe it's all coming together now...!

EDIT: With more than 5 minutes, this pick most definitely did NOT decide the game. Does Tavita order handoffs for two yards or let Davis Warren deal? I know what I'd do--got to go with the hot hand and put the ball in the air.

And it was two handoffs and a tough pass. Shook my head last night, especially as Osweiler had said Tavita's gotta keep the pedal to the metal (or something like that) and we turtled. Laughed when I read this post this morning. . . . .

The half time adjustments were "Throw the ball" -- their secondary is the worst in.ACC.
Our Run game is the least imaginative I have seen. No adjustments.

A tale of three parts:
First 30 minutes, beaten 20-10 by Georgia Tech, though it probably should have been a bit closer than that including taking the sack as time expired
First 20 minutes of the second half: utter Stanford domination: 24-0, about the most dominant stretch of football ive seen us play in a while
Last 10 minutes: hold on for dear life
