Bobbbbb Q#1..... Gibson or Carlton?
Q#2.... The only consecutive expansion was 1961 with the Angels and “new” Washington Senators (“old” Senators moved to Minneapolis) and 1962 in the NL with the Mets and Houston Colt 45’s. I’ll think about it.

Josh Donaldson scored the two millionth run on Saturday. Who scored #one million in 1975 and in what stadium?

RE: Sports trivia thread - BobK - 05-30-2021

No Gibson or Charlton. Newer pitcher

Yes on expansion timeframe now who?

RE: Sports trivia thread - Phogge - 05-30-2021

Wild guess, one of my favorite players ever Gene Woodling. I remember that he had a good year with the Mets. If not him maybe Eddie Yost.

Newer pitcher... Clemens?

RE: Sports trivia thread - BobK - 05-30-2021

Nope and nope. Ok hints
118 games Think Giants

This Major League player hit 415 against Greg Maddox and stuck out only 23 times in 474 ABs against Hall of Fame Pitchers

And what two players are the only two with 100 hits in one season from both sides of the playe? They did it in back to back seasons

RE: Sports trivia thread - Phogge - 05-30-2021

Eddie Murray and Willie Wilson switch hitters.

Tony Gwynn vs Maddux.

Gaylord 118 games three hits.

RE: Sports trivia thread - BobK - 05-30-2021

Yes Wilson not Murray It was the year before Wilson

Not Perry. Ok the pitcher was a D back also

Yes on Tony Gywnn. He is the answer to both

RE: Sports trivia thread - Phogge - 05-30-2021

Templeton famously batted righthanded against righties the last week of the season to get to his 100 RH hits.  He did have his mgr's permission.
