I won't blame any Auburn fans who are going cuckoo over that play. That line drive couldn't have been fair by more than about 1/16 of an inch

Man, that announcer with the twang in his voice just will not shut up.
He should change his name to: Motor Mouth!
Mute button engaged.

They just keep on the chatter on all things not related to the game that’s happening in front of them. It’s obnoxious
Wow.. that was brobdingnagian. Still 2-0 Stanford

Darn it.. Stanford bats need to come alive. Do or die moment!

We need to “burn some clock” and score runs after that T6 ordeal. They scored off Mathews so I can’t complain. Let’s go bats!
Their starter is gone. Let’s do this!

Gut punch in the 6th inning with the weak singles, HBP, walk, and double :( Stanford needs to find their mojo.

Boggles the mind that Stanford pitchers take laps around the hill. The lefty reliever had command problems. Just stay on the damn mound and keep your plate concentration. Find your spot and stay there. He needs to work faster to keep a groove.

It is pretty obvious every SEC team in the CWS is better than any Pac-12 team.
Auburn beat UCLA in Auburn
Auburn beat Oregon State in Corvallis
Ole Miss beat Arizona in Miami
Arkansas beat Stanford in CWS
Auburn is on way to beating Stanford in CWS

Damn Matthews just doesn’t have his great stuff today

Mathews was doing this early in the season and continued it all season. Stanford pitchers have a problem. They think too much. My guess is that the coaches are teaching this as a ritual to calm them down. Worked for Mathews who, before this season, lacked control (to put it mildly).

A little late for this, but kzsu is pretty good. Also no in-game interviews.
I blame the weather. Spent many summers in Kansas when I was a kid. Heat and humidity beyond belief. Barometric pressure 29.85 and falling. Creates very low energy. There’s a reason they call them tropical depressions.

I’ll take small sample sizes for $100 Alex.
The SEC has had an impressive tournament so far, and they may well be better than the PAC-12 as a whole. However, a sample size of 5, in baseball, is just about meaningless.

If that makes you sleep better at night. Look at the run differential too. It's really not close.

I mean, either way, unless Stanford has a miracle run in the last two innings, we will be out of the CWS, so I take no comfort.
But in baseball, especially, I think it is a bad idea to overgeneralize.
That being said, Warren Nolan has the SEC as the top conference by ELO (though Tennessee was the top team by ELO, which I think goes to show how good teams can lose in short series).
Auburn’s ELO was about 64 points below Stanford’s per Nolan. That would predict Stanford to have a 54% chance of winning, which is little more than a coin flip.

No matter how snarky you wish to be, BC is correct. 5 baseball games prove nothing.
Pirates went 5-1 vs Dodgers. Must be the better team…..

OF is a happy camper. Loves Stanford losses
I’m extremely happy for an exciting very much a winning season. Sure wish we could have done better in the World Series but doesn’t take away that we got to the World Series Congrats to the team on a great season
